Workaholic, breaking free | Wanda Maximoff

Second mission Part 11

You were trying to uncuff your chain when Wanda knocked on the door.

You: Come in.

Wanda: Um. Cap wants us to be in the meeting room in 5.

You: Ok.

You dress yourself and proceed to the meeting room.

You: Sorry, was I late?

Steve: No, we were just getting started. Have a seat. Fury just informed us that they have sightings of Hydra's base and we are going to raid it. Prepare your stuff as we are heading out soon. It's going to be a long fight.

You: Same things for me?

Steve: You'll just stay here and guide us. Fury should be sending the possible floorplan to the control room soon. Staying too close to fight would be a problem.

You: Alright got it. I'd update you guys on what to do when approaching.

Everyone suits up and Wanda comes to speak to you.

You: Don't you have to get ready?

Wanda: No. All I need is what I am wearing, I don't have any suit or anything. If I want to, I can just create it.

You: I see.

Wanda: Anyways, I just wanted to say...you're... interesting. We never had anyone in our team like this before.

You: Thanks. I take that as a compliment. You should head to the quinjet. Steve's ready.

Wanda: See you around.

You focus on the task at hand and look through all the information Fury has sent to you. SHIELD has been trying to eradicate all possible traces of Hydra and hence kept a lot of information. You try to take it all in, making analysis and predictions as the Avengers make their way to the base. 

You: You guys should be reaching in 7 minutes.

Nat: Yes. We caught sight of the base already.

You: Land somewhere unseen.

Clint: Why?

You: Well, you guys will be sneaking in.

Clint: Landing.

You: Great. I can see from the screen, you should be able to find an underground path. Try and push the enemy from the inside out instead of making them cram all in one place. This gives them less time to make decisions and make backups of data.

Tony: Thanks. I would have just barged in.

Steve: That's why Fury recruited her.

You: According to past records, there should be 2 underground levels so look out for it. Tony, head to the upper floor, there should be more people there. Steve will take the lower floor with Wanda. The higher executive should be there. The rest can be backup.

All of them: Copy that.

You: Try not to kill all of them, leave some around for interrogation for Nat.

You were still looking at the screen to see if there was anything else to convey to them when all of a sudden, your screen went black.

You: Guys can you hear me?

You tried to restart it but you were shot by a dart from behind, didn't manage to see who done it and went unconscious.

Steve: Alright we got one alive here.

Tony: Let's head back then.

Steve: She's not replying.

Nat: Who?

Steve: Y/N. Normally she would reply or advise on how to proceed.

Wanda: Oh god. Something must have happened.

Tony: Let's head back immediately and check. She's the only one in the compound.
