Recovering Part 13

Bruce: There's nothing much I can do for her until I am in my lab.

Wanda: What do you think is causing this?

Bruce: I think it's something that is making her blood pressure go down. She is not getting enough blood pumping through her body.

You: It's...

Wanda: It's what?

Steve: I couldn't hear it.

They rush back to the compound to save you.

Bruce: Give me some time.

While the rest went away, Wanda was waiting outside the lab waiting for you to be done. Bruce tries to find the source of the cause but it's taking some time since it's something new to him.

Nat: Not ready yet?

Wanda: *turns to Nat* No...

Nat: Do you want anything?

Wanda: It can wait.

Nat: I just don't want another casualty here. *passes her a snack* I knew you'd say no. I'd come back later. Don't faint, ok.

Wanda: Thanks Nat.

Not long later, Bruce walks out and tells Wanda that he's done and she can go ahead.

You were still unconscious with all the chemicals injected into your body.

Bruce: She's back at resting heart beat which is good, earlier it was lower than the resting heart beat which could be dangerous.

Wanda: Thanks.

You know that you are awake but the body just doesn't want to open your eyes. You try to force open your eyes, you know you've done this before. Your body is tired but you need to wake up. 

You peek open your eyes and finally see the light of day.

Wanda: You're awake

You: I.. yeah...

Wanda: I'll go call everyone.

You're still shocked at what you've been through. Your brain starts thinking. Not only do you have another personality at the sound of the phrase, you used to have a horrific past. Fog starts to clear up but leaves many unanswered.

Steve: How are you feeling?

You: I.. I have no idea. I have never felt this way before.

Tony: As long as you are not feeling bad. We'll have a party as soon as you are well.

You: Party?

Nat: Tony loves parties. I'll leave you to rest, you can tell us more when you are feeling better with more energy.

Everyone left except Wanda.

You: You have something to say to me?

Wanda: Yeah.. I don't know when else am I going to say it so I am going to say it now. I have feelings for you, I love you. *runs out*

You were stunned. After working for so long, this was the first time someone ever told you they love you. You have no idea how to respond or react. There was no one around to help you. You had no idea what you were supposed to do. You shake your mind out of it and decided to leave the lab since you hate this space and go to the roof. You stood there and just stared out into the city light. It's the one thing that brings you comfort.

You have lived your life in solitude for so long that you didn't consider this at all. Perhaps it is due to the underlying conditions that you have faced that push you to avoid such confrontation.

It was starting to get cold so you went back to your room.

You think that you should be fine not chaining up today but you didn't want to take any chances. When you realised you didn't do any auditing work today. You figured it'd take your mind off stuff so you bury your head deep into work until the next morning.

You thought you'd take a nap before leaving your room when someone knocks on the door.
