The Plan Part 17

You: Hey, um.. I am free to train now.

Nat: Ok, let me take you to the shooting range.

Nat teaches you the basics of how to handle a gun. There was a lot of recoil but for some reason, you felt as if you had used a gun before.

You: It feels weird... kinda like deja vu.

Nat: That reminds me, the time when your other half were robbing the bank, you were using a gun. So maybe that's why you find it familiar. Why did you choose to learn a gun anyways?

You: I see. I just thought that I can learn a gun faster than hand-to-hand combat because there is physics behind it, I can calculate the bullet velocity and drop, unlike humans. I can't possibly calculate how humans react.

Nat: You have to consider that a bullet can kill.

You: Yes I know, so I only hope to use this in an emergency.

Nat: Well, you are doing very well so far. You have a good cluster. All you need is experience now.

You hear a cough behind and it was Wanda holding your note.

Wanda: Why didn't you wake me up?

You: I find that sleep is a luxury, it is not easily gotten. Besides, you look cute when you sleep.

Wanda: Hey Nat. How was teaching this lady?

Nat: It was great, we figured that she was learning quickly because her other half knew how to use a gun.

Wanda: I knew my girl could do it.

You: Wanda!

Wanda: What?

You: I... I haven't told anyone else we are together.

Wanda: You don't have to. Besides, Nat knows we are together right?

You: You don't?!

Nat: Yeah, Y/N talked to me about it. She's very inexperienced... with this whole thing.

You: It's not my fault...

Wanda: Let's go. We have lots of meetings today. It seems Fury has looked through your report. He's here.

You: Is that a bad thing?

Nat: It can end both ways.

Fury: I've looked through your report. It is pretty concise with all the information. You have decided on a few locations?

You: Um.. yeah.. I figured that waiting for their next attack would be too ambiguous and risky so initiating the attack would be a better idea.

Fury: How have you come up with these locations?

You: It's just a rough guide but since Red Room has never collaborated with anyone before, it is unlikely that they would fully move with Hydra, they would want to conserve some manpower behind. I just took the circumference of each identified Hydra's and Red Room's base and plotted the place where they intersect.

Fury: We have the locations, now we need people there.

You spend the next few days going in between working and training with Nat.

You: I know I can't probably ever win you with just a few days of training but what do you say we compete?

Nat: Sure. Include reloading?

You: Yup. 2 magazines.

Nat: Alright. Ready, set, go.

You shot your rounds together with Nat.

Nat: Not too bad... But you're right.. You'll never win me.

You: Yeah.. But if I can't even get a good cluster on a target, how am I going to shoot a live target?

Nat: I think for you, all you need is to do is scare them and run away. Just make them know you are not defenseless. Make sure you get to safety and leave the rest to us.

You: Thanks...

Nat: You can keep that gun. Keep it close to you.

You: Got it.
