So... some overseas weird creepy illegal and about as dishonest as they come person has stolen this book and placed it on their site called novelhd.com.
It isn't necessarily plagiarism in terms of someone claiming that they wrote my book: they actually credited me, or rather, my wattpad username, as the author. It's about them violating my copyright.
They never respected it in the first place, it's an overseas job, shady all the way around.
And if you're reading this book on that site (or any other site besides Wattpad or Inkitt) , GET OFF IT RIGHT NOW. You can still read this book for free on Wattpad or Inkitt, but don't support this illegal company. Besides that, you could be exposed to viruses.
I have no doubt that as soon as novelhd sees I've 'updated' this book with this notice, they will publish it, probably without looking at it. I hate this so much, I really do, but I don't think there's nothing I can do at the moment. Although, I am seriously considering telling Wattpad to get their bottom in gear: this is supposed to be a safe site, and I am seriously disappointed that this happened.
I have decided I will continue to update this book here on Wattpad. However, I don't know for how long it will remain that way.
I wonder if I uploaded it to KDP, then enrolled it in KDP Select in which I say I ONLY publish with KDP, and then sweetly told KDP that this book was being published somewhere else illegally without my permission... I wonder if they'd sick their lawyers on them or something like that? XD One could only hope.
