Past to Present and Back Again

Chapter 6

"Wait, sorry I don't want this to sound rude, but your part alien," Steve said shocked, "How did we not know this, guys seriously how did we not know this?"

"How else did you think I almost took down this compound yesterday?"

"Well honestly I didn't tell them the full story Daisy, and I was waiting to access your files before I said anything. Although my guess is that you were an enhanced person," Natasha said, almost sounding mad at herself and me.

"You almost took out the compound yesterday," Tony said bewildered, "I thought we just had some weird earthquake."

"How could you think that," Fitz and Simmons said at the same time, "The compound isn't over any major fault lines and the fault lines nearby aren't very active."

"So let me get this straight, Daisy was the one who created the earthquake." Bruce Banner said I forgot he was there.

"Yes I was the one who created the earthquake, but it's not quite like that. My inhuman power is to feel and manipulate the natural vibrations of everything that has one. So sometimes when I lose control or am angry I accidentally tape into the earth's vibrations and create earthquakes." I say as my explanation.

"So theoretically you could accidentally destroy or split the earth into a million little pieces, am I correct," Banner asked.

"Well, that's not so theoretical because I have destroyed the world."

"How is that even possible earth is still in one piece, are you talking about the multiverse theory, and where were you when Thanos was here and snapping his damn fingers?" Tony pretty much yelled.

"So that's a story for another time because I really don't feel like explaining all of that right now, but as for the multiverse theory that is correct. Although Fitz and Simmons could probably explain the science/physics behind it, I didn't even graduate high school so I will be no help." I responded. I shoot Fitz and Simmons an apology look because I am 99% sure Tony will go to them to have the multiverse theory explained.

Breakfast was almost done when Thor said to me, "Why don't you come to my personal gym and we can spar, I want to see what you can do."

"Ya okay, I'll be there in an hour."

An hour later, after resting and spending some time with Simmons, Kora, and Alya I went to meet Thor in his apparently indestructible gym. I'm betting I can destroy it but we will have to see. Thor's room turned out to be quite close to mine and Sousa's room, which is good because I told Sousa that if he can feel the walls shaking in our room to come and stop the training/sparring session.

Thor and I warmed up quickly before we started. Our first match was a strictly no powers match. I think he wanted to see how well I could fight before we got into the real thing. People forget that Thor has super strength that he can't turn off and Asgardian military training, this means he will be a tough opponent that could really hurt me. Although I do have an ace up my sleeve if I think I am going to be pummeled.

Thor started off slow, keeping his attacks to basic ones. I mimicked his style, we kept it to jabs and kicks. After a couple more minutes we started to pick up the pace, and more improve started. We were pretty well matched and I was able to land a couple of good hits but so did Thor. We had been sparring for about 10 minutes and I was getting bored so as a last-ditch effort I judo flipped him. It actually succeeded and I won that round.

By the end of that first round, Thor and I were more than ready to start using our powers. We were both very strategic about what we did and when we used our powers. I had noticed there was a change in vibration just before Thor would use his powers to summon electricity. I used this knowledge to my advantage and formed a shield of vibrations that would absorb the electricity. This gave me an advantage but I didn't want to destroy the place so I kept my quaking to a minimum. After an hour and a half, we were still pretty well matched, and even so, we called it a draw.

I was walking back to my room when I got a notice from J.A.R.V.I.S saying there was a party in the common room starting at 8 pm and to dress nicely. This party had Tony written all over it and would probably end up with me very drunk. So what could possibly go wrong? Maybe just about everything.
