At 7:50 I found myself in a badass pantsuit that made me feel like a boss and some white air force ones. I felt like I was succeeding in life. Sousa even dressed to compliment me. He is the world's best boyfriend.
"So Danny-boy, what do you think this party is about?"
"I don't know Quake, you are the one in Tony's digital system, shouldn't you be the one that knows," Daniel said jokingly.
"I may have an upper hand in the digital world, but I heard you chatting with Stark's Bestie, Steve."
"Haha, how long have you been holding on to that one!"
"Only ever since I heard you talking with Rogers, I just had to find a way to naturally work it into a conversation."
"Now this is why I love you Daisy, but we should probably head to this party and see what Stark has planned. From what you have told me about him this should be good."
Sousa and I met up with Kora in the hallway and we walked to the common room together. We were the last people to show up but the gathering/party seemed to just be getting started. The common room was packed full of people that I had never seen before. I'm pretty sure Stak barely even knew any of them. Everyone seemed to have a drink in hand and the spy in me followed suit, except mine was an alcoholic because you never drink on a job.
After a few hours of walking around and mingling. I was kinda tired of it and was debating leaving when the room suddenly cleared out. I thought something was going to blow up but apparently, the bar closed so that it shuts down a party fast. I think Natasha, who was bartending, was tired of all these random people. And I mean who can blame her. I think if I hadn't made such a bad impression on Natasha when we first met, we would've been good friends. She sort of reminds me of Bobbi a little bit.
All of a sudden I heard Tiny yell, "Who wants to play some never have I ever, Nat bring everyone here a bottle of vodka."
At that moment I knew things were going to go bad for me. Tony didn't give us a choice about the game, we were all playing. Soon there were twelve of us sitting around a table covered in unopened bottles of vodka.
"Just so we are all on the same page, are we saying that we have to drink when we have done something?" Jemma asked.
"Is there any other way," Tony responded, "And you don't have to answer that Simmons, it was a rhetorical question."
"Ok, let's start off easy," Banner said, "Never have I ever been to space."
Everyone drank except for Barton. Although I'm pretty sure he was alright with that.
"Ok, never have I ever gotten high from puffies," Fitz expanded.
"Jemma you told him about that, I thought we agreed that that would be a secret."
Jemma just chuckled and we both took a drink. Funny enough Thor also took a drink. I was totally going to have to ask him about it later.
Next, it was my turn and I really didn't want to drink so mine was, "Never have I ever been a parent."
Mack, Fitz, and Simmons all took a drink. I shot a very discreet look at Tony and he looked a little guilty but I don't think anyone else noticed.
I think Simmons was getting bored so when it was her turn she said, "Never have I ever been shot more than 5 times."
Of course, I had to drink to that. But I wasn't the only one who had to drink, both Natasha and Clint did too. I even got a look of respect from Natasha for drinking.
After another twenty minutes, my bottle was almost empty when Tony said, "Never have I ever had parental issues."
I took a drink along with the majority of other people. That was the last sip of my bottle, which I should clarify is not a giant bottle but definitely big enough to make me very drunk. I was the first one to finish my bottle and I think that's what prompted Tony to ask me questions.
"So Daisy, what's your parental damage?"
"Now that's a great question, and one that has a long and crazy answer."
This seemed to capture the attention of the room once more and my story started to unravel.
"Oh you know the usual, grew up in foster care, in and out of homes. Raised at an orphanage run by nuns. Eventually, I ran away, joined some questionable people, and got picked up by S.H.I.E.L.D."
"Sorry to interrupt the story but what does this have to do with your parental issues?" Clint asked.
Mack, Fitz, Sousa, and Simmons all shout me a look. They all know how this story ends. "I'm getting to that part. So about a year and not too long after S.H.I.E.L.D fell, people were finding a weird script that led to an underground ancient Kree temple, Hydra, and my father, who I thought was dead. Which at the time would have been better. I went through terrigenesis and he became obsessed with me, although that wasn't uncommon for me. I had had a stalker creep before. Then the new S.H.I.E.L.D split into two and one half wanted me dead so I found my way to Afterlife. Afterlife was a sanctuary for Inhumans and people with inhuman genes. I wanted to leave but the head of Afterlife convinced me to stay, then I found out she was my mother and I was kidnapped as a child. Then my mom and my dad concocted a plan to wage a war against S.H.I.E.L.D. We won the war I guess you should say, but in the process, my mom tried to kill me using her powers. Then my dad said I shouldn't have to deal with the guilt of killing her because I would have. So my dad killed my mom and to save my dad and give him a fresh start we wiped his memory. So I have some major parental issues and no I won't take any questions."
There was a look of shock from the Avengers and a soft damn from someone in the group. It was obvious that people wanted to ask questions but Sousa could tell I was drunk and didn't want to talk so he excused us and we headed back to our room.
