Past to Present and Back Again

Chapter 4

"Well, then you should have known to ask for permission before using my personal gym and pretty much destroying it." Quipped Natasha Romanov.

"We all know you could easily get it repaired, Tony has enough money and it's a well-known fact that he bankrolls this place."

"Of course someone who once had the nickname of the Destroyer of Worlds would say that."

"I see you have been doing some research on me, did you get all the info you need to play your mental game of warfare with me?"

"Daisy, sweetheart, let's give Agent Romanov a break. I think she is ready to shoot you again if you say another word." Added Sousa.

"Well fine, but I would just like you to know Romanov, this pounding headache I have right now along with a crap mood are all your fault.". With that, I got up and left the room trying not to faint or show any emotion as a passed Romanov.

I made it all of five seconds after leaving the room to get lost. I mean what does one expect when every damn hallway looks exactly the same. Although apparently someone was looking out for me because Tony Stark found me wandering around cluelessly. I mean Tony Stark as much shit as I say about him, he is still a pretty decent guy. The public may not know that but I have been inside Stark's system for years. Even his AI Jarvis doesn't know about me. It's how I kept S.H.I.E.L.D off his radar the whole time. It's how I kept myself off of his radar for so long.

I had only been walking with Tony for a few minutes before he motioned me to follow him into some random room he had stopped at. Honestly, I was kinda hoping it was a kitchen because I was kinda hungry. Sadly it wasn't, instead, I entered a room that looked like a highly expensive lab that Fitz would go bananas for. All the machine parts were organized into practical shelves and buckets. There were three work tables, tool cabinets, and every blueprint available all laid out in a practical way. There was also a large desk with multiple monitors for one to play within one of the corners.

I must've looked really confused when Tony said, "You looked like you needed a job so I want you to look through the documents governments are sending in, in relation to their country's population."

He then proceeded to mansplain how everything works. I mean I'm not an idiot but I guess he knows very little about me. I got to work but made a program that did the work for me instead and then hacked the base to get a layout of the base. So I didn't get lost again. I then uploaded the map onto my phone so I could find the kitchen because I was still very hungry. Once I was sure my code was stable I got up and went to leave the room. Tony must have noticed me getting up and asked me, "Where are you going?"

"Well I currently have a program running through and summarizing the info you want, so I'm going to get some food."

"What are you talking about that's way too advanced for a program to do."

"For your information Stark it actually isn't and I'm going to get food but you can check out the program while I am gone."

With that, I left and opened the map on my phone to figure out how to get to the common kitchen. It didn't take long to find the kitchen and find some bread and other stuff to make myself sandwiches. I was working on making my third sandwich when someone walked in. That person happened to be Thor. My first thought was too bad I have a boyfriend cause Thor is a hunk. But then my mind went to my interaction with Lady Sif. What if Thor knew I was inhuman and he wanted to take me back to Asgard. I do not need to be imprisoned another time on another planet. Thank you very much. So I went along with my plan to scarf down the three sandwiches I made for myself.

It was only after the second sandwich did I notice that Thor was staring at me. I looked over at him with my face full of food, "What."

"Oh sorry but do you always eat so much?" boggled Thor.

"No, I usually eat more than this but I have been knocked out for at least half of today."

"Ah, so you are the one Natasha was complaining about today, you apparently ruined her personal gym."

That made me chuckle, "Well maybe if she wanted to keep it to herself she should have locked the door or something."

"Maybe," Thor said thoughtfully, almost like he was thinking about suggesting this to Tony. Thor and mine's conversation quickly fizzled off and I finished my final sandwich.

Later that night everyone convened in what one would call a common room to watch a movie. Of course, this common room was probably worth 500000 dollars. There was an insane sound and video system, as well as a couch that was probably 50000 dollars at the least. I kinda wish I was that rich sometimes.

Of course Tony was late because I don't think he can ever be on time, so everyone had already chosen their spots. I was snuggled in between Sousa and Mack, which in some ways is kind of awkward because I know Mack said something to Daniel when we were going to save Jemma. Although even after dating for two years I still don't know what he said to him and it is something I will always try to figure out.

It had been around 15 min of everyone arguing about what movie to watch. A lot of people wanted to watch Back to the Future but Kora, Sousa, and I strongly objected to that because we had just finished living it. My pick was for Mulan because everyone likes Mulan and the animated version is amazing. But to my disappointment, I was informed we were looking to watch a more grown-up movie. I mean hello I'm 35 and still love the movie.

I was about to pull up a random movie on my phone and cast it on the TV to end the argument when Tony came bursting into the room. "YOU!"
