Chapter One: Bound by Rules

Renjun fiddled with his pen, his nerves fraying with each passing second. What was he so anxious about? Today was the day he'd meet the strangers he'd been arranged to marry. This wasn't a love story but a business arrangement—company rules dictated it. He gnawed on the pen, eyes darting towards the door every few moments. Finally, it swung open, and two young men walked in.

Renjun wasn't usually swayed by appearances, but something about these two was different. They exuded a magnetizing aura, almost hypnotic. The pair approached and took the seats beside him.

"I'm Jeno," said the one with black hair.

"And I'm Jaemin, but you can call me Nana," the blond added.

Renjun's mother, Ms. Huang, looked astonished. These two striking young men were here for her Renjun. It was a sight she found almost too charming.

"Hello, boys," she greeted warmly. "I'm Renjun's mother, but you can call me Ms. Huang. Renjun needs to get married to inherit the company, and he's been a bit stubborn about it."

Jaemin's small smile sent a flush to Renjun's cheeks, which he mentally cursed. He was determined not to let them get under his skin. Love was off the table for him.

"So, Renjun dear," his mother inquired, "how do you feel about these two?"

Renjun shrugged, barely looking up. "They're okay. I have to pee."

Ms. Huang smiled broadly. "Then it's settled! Welcome to the family, you two!"

Renjun quickly excused himself to the bathroom, needing a moment to collect his thoughts. When he returned, his phone buzzed with a notification.

"Bought you guys a car! Congratulations, my baby!" It was from his mom. He rolled his eyes, bumping into Jeno and Jaemin on his way back.

"Your mom said you would take us to the mansion?" Jaemin asked.

Renjun huffed in annoyance. "I know you two are here because my family has money. You don't actually want to marry me."

Jaemin snickered. "If it wasn't for us, you'd be disowned by now."

Renjun rolled his eyes. "Walk to the mansion, then!" he snapped, heading down the stairs.

And yes, he did make them walk to the mansion.
