Chapter Twelve: Blankets, Breakfast, and Moonmin
Renjun yawned as he made his way downstairs. At five months along, his belly had grown noticeably, and he felt a powerful hunger as he descended.
"Renjunnie? Are you awake?" Jaemin called from the kitchen, glancing back over his shoulder. He was busy cooking a hearty breakfast—eggs, bacon, pancakes, and biscuits.
Renjun let out a sleepy hum and waddled to the table. "Where's Jeno?" he asked, settling into his seat.
Jaemin set three plates on the table and replied, "He's taking a shower. He couldn't do it last night because he got home late. You were already asleep like a log."
Renjun nodded appreciatively. "You're making breakfast for us? How sweet, Nana."
Jeno appeared at the bottom of the stairs just as Jaemin was speaking, and he walked over to give Renjun a tender kiss on the forehead.
Jaemin smiled warmly at Jeno before planting a quick kiss on his cheek.
"Nana, this is so good!" Renjun exclaimed, his mouth full of food.
"Renjunnie, don't talk with your mouth full," Jeno scolded, though his tone was gentle.
"Thank you. I made it just for you guys," Jaemin said, clearly pleased with their reaction.
Renjun gave a small nod before returning to his breakfast, savoring each bite.
After breakfast, Jaemin plopped down on the couch and asked, "What are you watching, Jeno?"
"We're going to watch Moonmin. Renjun wanted to join us, so he went to get the blankets and pillows," Jeno replied.
"Renjun's such a cutie," Jaemin remarked, smiling.
"I have the blankets!" Renjun announced as he entered the room, dropping the blankets and pillows onto the couch.
"Thanks, Renjunnie. You're the sweetest," Jaemin said, reaching out to smooth the blankets.
"Anytime. I'm excited to watch Moonmin; it's been so long since we've seen it!" Renjun said with enthusiasm.
Jaemin and Jeno made space on the couch for Renjun to sit comfortably between them, just the way they all liked it.
The three settled in, ready to enjoy a cozy morning together, indulging in their favorite show and each other's company.
