Chapter Five: New Dynamics
After that day, Jaemin and Renjun developed a routine. They began hooking up regularly, focusing on oral intimacy and similar activities. Their physical interactions helped build their relationship, creating a dynamic where they sought each other out whenever they wanted to feel close.
One morning, Jeno and Jaemin came downstairs together. Jaemin followed Jeno closely, his arm draped casually around him. Renjun looked up with a smile. "Morning, Jen. Did you sleep well?"
Jeno nodded. "Yeah, Jaeminie cuddled with me all night, which was a surprise."
Jaemin, not one to openly share his feelings, kept his thoughts to himself. "I don't know, Jen. You just seem so cuddly," Jaemin said, pulling Jeno into a hug. Jeno smiled, and their faces were only inches apart. Jaemin leaned in to kiss Jeno, and the kiss was tender and full of affection, distinct from how he kissed Renjun. Perhaps it was because their feelings were different—Jaemin and Jeno were in love, while Renjun was more of an outlet for Jaemin's physical needs.
Renjun felt a complex mix of emotions as he watched. It was confusing; he found the sight arousing rather than jealousy-inducing. Despite his internal struggle, he kept his feelings to himself. "Um, I'm right here," Renjun said, clearing his throat.
Both Jaemin and Jeno pulled away, Jeno's face turning a deep shade of red. Whether it was embarrassment or something else, Renjun couldn't be sure.
Renjun grabbed his yogurt from the fridge and made his way to the living room. Settling on the couch, he turned on the TV. This was his usual routine—eating yogurt and watching TV when he wasn't at the company. Jeno and Jaemin joined him soon after.
"Renjunnie?" Jeno called out, breaking the silence.
Renjun paused the TV and turned toward Jeno. "Yes?" he asked, continuing to eat his yogurt.
"Would it be okay if my cats stayed here? I don't want to burden my mom with them," Jeno asked.
Renjun's face lit up with excitement. "You have cats? Oh my gosh, Jen!" he exclaimed, pulling Jeno into a warm hug. "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Of course, they can stay here!"
Renjun's love for cats was well-known, and this news delighted him. Jaemin observed the interaction with a smile. He was pleasantly surprised by how much Renjun and Jeno had in common.
"That's great," Jaemin said. "I'll let her know to bring them over right away."
Jeno's smile was heartwarming, making Renjun's heart melt. He thought Jeno was absolutely the cutest.
