My 2 Idiot Friends

Chapter 2 : Group Night

Like always, weekend seems to go by quicky and it's Monday before you know it. So much for relaxing and having some me-time. I went to class with the two love birds. Mephiles is on the other class so I don't go with him that often, the only often time we meet is when we're on break and when school's over.

I sat down on my chair, Sonic's seat was at my front while Shadow was at the far right near the window. Since I'm behind him sometimes I can see who Sonic is staring and of course most of the time it's Shadow. When Shadow noticed his stare he would stare back and make Sonic blush and quickly turn his head away. I'm not saying it's not adorable, it's just that it happens too frequently and it's getting annoying since neither of them confesses yet.

The lesson starts, we studied in class for a few hourse before it reached the first break time.

"Man I'm tired!" Sonic stretch his arms up.

"I bet you barely even study" I said as I close my notebook and put them under my table.

"Not true, I can study" He chuckled and get from his seat "come on, I'm starving already" He said impatiently.

Sonic and I called Shadow over and we head to the cafeteria together. We grab our food and drink and sit at our usual table with the usual people. There's the three of us and then there's Mephiles and his two friends from his class, Blaze The Cat and Rouge The Bat.

"Hey angel" Mephiles said once I sit right next to him and gave me a peck on the cheek. He don't usually form his mouth that often, but since because it's lunch time of course he has to form his mouth to eat.

"Haha hey Meph" I smiled and returned the quick small kiss.

"I love seeing you two being all lovey dovey" Blaze giggled at us.

"Oh stop it Blaze" I rolled my eyes with a chuckle.

The six of us start to form some random conversation why we enjoy our meal, usually around this time Sonic would 'play around' with Shadow and tease him a lot. I don't care how you look at it but they're definitely and clearly flirting at each other.

"Oh hey! Do you guys want to come to my room tonight?" Sonic suddenly asked.

"Why? Don't you have homework?" Rouge asked.

"Well it's due later so I can still relax for today! We can just hang out and chill together, what do you say?"

Oh please, this is just an excuse so he could invite Shadow to his room, but to make it less suspicious and awkward he decided to invite all of us. I know your tricks, Sonic.

"I don't mind"

Of course Shadow would say that. He's in love with him so obviously he'll accept the offer.

"I guess I could use a bit of time with everyone, I haven't done anything since weekend than just studying" Blaze sighed as she sip on her drink "sure, why not?"

"Well I guess I'm coming too, sounds fun!" Rouge cheered.

Sonic then stare instensely at me and I rolled my eyes with a sigh "fine I'll go..."

"In that case I'm going to" Mephiles said.

"Yeah! We're gonna have so much fun!" Sonic beamed with joy for his plan succeeded.

Mephiles picked me up from my room that night so we could go to Sonic's room together. My room's on the third floor of the dorm, Sonic's on the fourth. We take the stairs instead of the elevator since it's just one floor away. We made it to Sonic's room and all of our friends are there.

I see Shadow sitting on the carpet while reading a book, Sonic is sitting beside him, Blaze and Rouge are watching the TV where there's this boy group of idols are performing.

"Hey guys" I greeted.

"Hey Silver, you actually came!" Sonic smiled at me.

"Well yeah since you kinda force me to be here"

We spent the time talking and playing games. I was keeping my eyes on Sonic and Shadow, like usual they like to tease each other and give each other playful nicknames. Man I'm really hoping they will hook up after this!

"By the way, Shadow, I notice you've been hanging out with this girl in the library" Rouge smirked.

"Oh boy who is it this time?" Blaze rolled her eyes.

Ah I forgot to tell, Shadow is very popular with the girls. He's athletic, smart and good-looking afterall, of course he'd be the school idol. I glance at Sonic and I can tell he was jealous, his face says it all! I want to laugh but he would probably punch me.

"Shut up Rouge, she just happened to read the same book as me so we became friends" Shadow rolled his eyes.

I bet he doesn't want to hurt Sonic, I can feel it. Mephiles and I share a glance for a quick second before staring at Shadow again.

"She probably has a crush on you like most girls does in school" Mephiles said and make him gasp in surprise.

"Ew no! We're just friends, Mephiles, stop making quick assumptions about me" Shadow grunted.

"Maybe if you take Sonic with you to the library it wouldn't be too suspicious" I said while narrowing my eyes at Sonic.

"Taking this guy to the library would be impossible, he'd just sleep on the table" Shadow said and make Sonic blush.

"Hey! I'm not that stupid! I too can read a book!"

"Then wanna come with me to the library at second break tomorrow?"

Sonic's eyes widen as if he just realize what he just said to Shadow. He look at me as if he knew he made a mistake but I don't think it's a mistake at all, in fact it's like a cute little date at school.

I shift my glance over at Shadow and he also seem to just realize what he asked to Sonic.

"I- I mean if you can't then that's fine"

"No I definitely can!"

They don't even realize they're making themselves flustered and embarrassed at each other.

"Ooh if you see any sign of Shadow flirting with this girl do tell me!" Rouge giggled and pat his back.

"N-No way in hell I'm gonna let him flirt with the girl" Sonic groaned.

"Huh? Why?" Blaze asked and that's when he realize he said it without thinking.

"Because...I- I don't want him to get a girlfriend before me! He's easy to get one since he's so popular!" He shouted his fake complain.

"As if Shadow would ever accept a girl's confession" Mephiles retorted and I chuckled.

"Right, how many confessions do you even get in a day, Shadow?" Blaze asked curiously.

"I don't know, why should I count?"

"Come on just tell us" Mephiles said out loud.

"Fine" he groaned and rolled his eyes "let me see if I can remember...about three to five a day?"

"Daamn you're THAT popular?" Rouge said in surprise.

"I should tell you that being labeled as 'popular' is not as great as you think. I have to put up with countless of letters dumped in my locker and under my table! They also force me to go out with them or even make me help them with their honework!" he said in horror.

"Yeah, Shadow already has his hands full with teaching me with my homework! Right Shadow?" Sonic teased and lean on his arm.

"You're lucky I actually consider you as my close friend, otherwise I wouldn't care about you and your grades"

I like how Shadow consider him as his close friend but he actually want Sonic to be his boyfriend. Everyone says he's smart but from what I know he's just as dumb as Sonic, what a perfect match am I right?
