Chapter 10 : Finally

The next day, Sonic is finally going to put his plan into action. He's going to confess to Shadow by the end of the day. I decide to spy on them just in case if something does go wrong, but I'll doubt anything wrong will happen.

To my surprise, Mephiles is here. He's also spying on Shadow. It turns out that Shadow is also planning to confess to him after their hang out! This just increase the chance of them being a couple!

Mephiles and I sneakily follow Sonic and Shadow into the arcade in a mall. I can already feel the tension between them because they both look nervous.

Sonic's POV

Shadow and I tried to play that basketball game. I must admit that he is better than me! He doesn't miss his shot and he scores lots of points. He's just so amazing at this.

"Oh! Try throwing me!" I energetically said and curled myself to a ball.

"I'm pretty sure we're gonna get in trouble if I use you as a ball" he chuckled and pick me up from the floor. He throw me to the ring twice before putting me down and told me to un-curl.

"You could've throw me more!"

"I would but I don't want to damage your quills" he smiled and suddenly stroke my head. That one really caught me off guard and it makes me blush!

We collect our tickets and decide to try the other other games.

"Wait, we should try this one" Shadow suggested to a big arcade.

It's a shooting game where we point the gun to the screen, the enemy in the game are zombies and that's honestly gonna be a game I suck at.

"I'm gonna bring us down if we play this" I said as I take out the second gun.

"No you're not" Shadow smiled before starting the game.

I can't aim at all! The zombies on screen are really fast and it's messing with my eyes. Whenever I shoot my gun I only hit their bodies, I never get a clear shot on the head because that's where I need to aim to kill the zombies.

I glance over at the player 1 which was Shadow, he's just that good at this game! It's as if the zombies are real and he really need to take them down! He shot more targets than me and eventually we won all of the stages. Well...he won it, I didn't really get a lot lf kills.

"Shadow, how come you're so good at this? You look like you're actually holding a real gun while facing real zombies!"

"I had some training" he chuckled "I want to work for G.U.N so I need to have the skills for this type of weapon" he said as he put the gun down.

"Wow Shadow...I think you already mastered the weapon"

"Thanks. I have to imagine myself protecting you in real life too when I want to win this game"

That startled me. He thought of protecting me? That's why he looked so focus on the screen! That's really sweet of him it almost makes me wanna squeal!

Ah gee, if only he's already my boyfriend right now I would have given him lots of kisses for being such a gentlemen.

"Wanna trade the tickets and get some food?"

"Sure!" I smiled. We've actually been playing for a while now and I think it's time for us to go somewhere else.

We head to the counter and get anything that's available with the amount of tickets we're trading. Shadow saw this keychain and our tickets are enough to get two of them. He ask me if I want to trade it for the keychain and I nod my head, I mean there's no other cool stuff we could trade the tickets with. Shadow got himself a red star keychain while I got a blue star keychain. It's actually pretty nice!
