01. COPS AND ROBBERS
BONNIE EVERETT NEVER MISSED HER SMALL APARTMENT LIKE RIGHT NOW.World had turned into hell.
The sickness was more dangerous than Bonnie could ever imagine. When people got sick they turned crazy, human flesh eating monsters.
So deep inside her thoughts, her knife pierced her palm.
"Shit..." She hissed out.
To her luck, the two boys a few feet from her did not hear her curse, too busy playing "Cops and Robbers".
Carl held his hands up, imitating a gun while Jackie, who was obviously the robber dashed away from the imaginary police man.
"You can take a break if you feel like it." Carol from the tree stump on her left said, a bowl full of peeled potatoes in her lap.
She manage to catch Lori rolling her eyes while peeling her batch of potatoes.
Lori Grimes had some problem with her, right from the start. Bonnie didn't know what got her so riled up, cause obviously she was getting plenty of action from Shane Walsh, who not to mention, was the best friend and partner of her husband who passed away two weeks ago.
Maybe it were the small looks Shane would give Bonnie, was the other woman jealous?
Bonnie sighed and dropped her potato in her bowl and wiped her palm against the jeans. "No, I'm fine. Thanks Carol."
Carol sent a warm smile her way. Carol Pelatier was a pure soul, her husband on the other hand, was not. He abused the poor woman daily, Carol would never admit it though.
"I guess I'm just a worried about the guys, it's been a while." Bonnie said, this was just one of her fears right now.
While Shane was the unelected leader of the small group of people they gathered in this camp, he picked out the most able people to go on supply runs into the city.
"I'm sure they're fine, we did give them the gun and gear." Lori remarked while keeping her eyes on her work.
Maybe it were the pregnancy hormones, but Bonnie wanted to reach over and smack the woman. How did a single pistol and two sets of riot gear would save them against the monsters?
Bonnie decided not to make a scene and confused to peal the potatoes.
For a week and a half Bonnie, Jackie and the rest of the survivor group were camping out on a hill just right outside of Atlanta.
The place actually made into a decent camp spot, with a few cars, tents and Dale Horvath's RV.
Dale was an elderly man that spent most of his time with his binoculars and his bucket hat guarding the camp from "walkers", or at least that's what the others called them.
