"So, how was training with Reindeer Games, Kiddo?" Tony asks, collapsing next to me on the couch. He had his burrito on a plate in hand.

"It was okay, I guess. I would have preferred to do it by myself but whatever." I explain, searching for a movie and to watch.

"I understand you guys are like uhm... enemies, and I get he's annoying, but if I'm being completely honest I think he's just you're type." Tony said with a michevious smirk.

My jaw dropped and I lightly hit his shoulder. "Loki? My type? No way, Stark."

"Ah, ah, ah. Not so fast. Remember at Truth or Dare Night and Thor asked you who the most attractive person you've fought is..."

My cheeks turned a deep shade of rose. I did not like Loki. In no way could I ever like that obnoxious God of Mischief. He was bad. We were training him for a reason. And that reason was that be was evil!

"Shut up, Stark." I growl, turning my attention back to the screen. I click on 'The Maze Runner,' one of my favourite film trilogies.

"Now, who saved you from that family of yours? I'm joking, Kid. I'm only playing with you." There was a pause. "Oh, come on. This movie again?" He whined.

I smile. I love the way that Tony and I can just act like normal humans around each other. Not team mates, not some kid and a billionare that were forced to work together. Regular people. We could talk about things without work even coming up in the conversation. He was like a father figure for me. And I owe him a bunch for letting me stay here, for letting me join the team. He and the others probably would have just turned me away if I didn't have such incredible powers. I'm glad they were able to help. Able to help me away from my underground drug company family, my physically abusive father, my verbally abusive mother and brother, and all the fucked up things that were in my life. I was safe here and I knew it. This place is my home and these supportive people were my family.

Just as Thomas was sent to 'The Pit', Thor walked down the hallway and into the living room. He looked much, much better than he did when I last saw him. It was about one in the afternoon, and his hangover seemed to be gone. His hair was knotted and messy. I conjured a hairbrush in my hand and said, "Come take a seat, Thor."

He walked over sluggishly and rubbed his eyes. He placed himself on the ground infront of me so that I could tidy his bedhead. I begun brushing through his hair one section at a time. Most people who would see a twenty-year-old girl brushing a 1500-year-old guys hair would think it was weird, but Thor was my best friend in the entirety of the galaxy.

Loki then walked down the hallway and stopped when he saw Thor and I.

"I understand you're best friends and all," he starts with his usual sneer, "but this is weird."

I glare at him. "No it's not, brother." Thor said without taking his eyes off the screen. "You are accustomed to the Asgardian way of doing things, but here on Midgard, things are different."

Loki scoffed and sat down on the far end of the couch, away from Thor, Tony and I.

"God, I hate being told I'm wrong."

I stare up at him, still brushing Thor's golden locks. His eyes travelled to me and quickly looked away when he realized I had read my mind. It wasn't on purpose. I just hear it without wanting too.

"Well, I should get going. Lot's of work to do with Pepper." Tony said, standing up and loosening his Black Sabbath shirt. The arc reactor shined through it.

"Work, huh." I say, Thor, Loki and I all looking to him.

"Don't be dirty, kid." He said and soon, he was gone down the hallway. I laughed under my breath.

"Alright, Thor. All done." The god stands up and walks towards the kitchen, grabbing a box of Poptarts and leaving to him quarters. A few moments passed and soon Loki spoke up.

"What is this even about? I don't understand." He snarled in disgust.

"It's about boys who had their memories wiped and they were all put in this area inside a giant maze. But soon, a girl comes and she has this connection to the main character that they don't understand. They need to get out of the maze but there are some people who don't want to leave, so that's a challenge. A bunch of their friends die and they realize that there's a world out there. It's really, really cool, actually." I explain, full of enthusiasm.

"Interesting concept. Now I understand many books are translated to movies. Is this?" He asks, genuinely curious.

"Yeah. I've read all the books. I love to read, so much." I say, my eyes still fixated on the screen but not really paying attention.

"So do I." He said calmly. "It's one of the few things that bring me something some people would call joy."

I looked him in the eyes and shot him a slight smile. But just as he was about to smile back, a shot went off, as did a alarm. The sounds rang in my ear. I could see Loki give me a look that said, 'What's going on?" I could hear the doors of everyones quarters opening, them running outside to see what was going on. I shook in my shoes, I wasn't prepared for an attack today.

Tony then came on the loud speaker.

"Everyone, the tower is under attack. There are some bad people who want something I have in the lab. Banner, do me a favour. Don't turn into that ginourmous green rage monster. Come up to lab three. Everyone else, take these guys out. Make sure they don't get to Floor seven. Y/n, if you can't handle the gunshots, stay with Reindeer Games. Alright, you guys. Let's do this."

There was a blip from the speaker and Tony was gone.
