The child settled into life in Mos Pelgo well. With you and Cobb watching over him, he became a well-loved member of the town. After the incident with the townsperson, you explained everything to them; how Grogu was force-sensitive, and that you were once a Jedi Padawan that knew him from the Jedi temple on Coruscant. The townspeople had many questions, as Jedi weren't common out on Tatooine, and all they had as background were old stories. They were surprisingly accepting, and not angry at all at the small child nor at you. You supposed it helped that the Child was under the care of their beloved marshal, and that you provided good services to the community as a general store owner.

Cobb was proud of you for coming clean to the town about your past, after you voiced all your fears to him. He thought he knew bravery until he heard you talking about the purge of your people and fleeing the place you had known your whole life, jumping from planet to planet until eventually landing on the desert planet and deciding to reside in the small mining town.

The past months had become rather uneventful for the town, but not so for you and Cobb. Your relationship grew every day, the two of you falling deeper and deeper in love with one another while raising the small, green-eared troublemaker. Cobb had eventually decided to move most of his belongings into your home, since he spent more time there then he did in his own house, and you couldn't be happier. Grogu was at his happiest when both you and Cobb were with him, and neither one of you wanted to upset him for no reason.

The force weighed heavy on you this morning, an uncomfortable omen that came to you when you woke. You couldn't shake the feeling, and you felt called to carry your lightsaber on you–something you haven't done in years. Realistically, you believed noting warranting your lightsaber would occur–Mos Pelgo had been written off most maps, and nothing would happen that Cobb couldn't handle. But still, you clipped the saber to your belt, and went about your day.

Grogu spent most of his day with you, "helping" around the shop and entertaining the children that would eventually wander in with their families. Cobb would stop in periodically, chatting with you and keeping the baby occupied to keep him from trouble, something you found adorable. But even with Cobb around, you were tense, looking out at the vast desert as if something would materialize out of nowhere. And your unusual deportment didn't go unnoticed by Cobb. Usually you were so relaxed and cheerful, and the tense anxiety didn't suit you.

"Hey darlin'," Cobb gently put his hand on your shoulder, "You seem tense, something wrong?"

"I don't know," you reply, "The force is ominous today; something is going to happen." Your breath caught as you felt something touch your leg, and you looked down to see the Child staring up at you.

"Feel it too" he said through the force, "Feel bad."

"Grogu just said he feels it too," you pick up the child gently, and you turn to Cobb worriedly, "Be careful today, love," you frown, "The force is never wrong."

"Of course Y/n," Cobb kissed your forehead, and gave the child a soft pat on the head, "Don't want to worry my two babies any," he playfully winked, and you rolled your eyes in a similar manner.

It was late afternoon when the sense of dread went haywire. It was also late afternoon when a speeder came into town. You ushered Grogu under the counter and told him to remain there. You didn't totally trust him to do so, but you hoped he would. For his own good.
