It's been far too long since I've written, for Paz Vizsla, and it is a crime. Disney, I'm begging you to have him in S3 of The Mandalorian. Please I just want to know if he's okay

When the Alor had decided that matches needed to be made in order for the covert to flourish anew, Paz was nervous. He wasn't nervous about the idea of finally starting a family; he's been wanting that for a while. To hold someone close and raise children with them. But he didn't want just anyone in the covert, he wanted you.

You had been friends since the two of you were young, as many children growing up in the covert were. There was something different with you though, the two of you understood each other on a spiritual level. You were there for each other when your parents died, you learned together in the training corps, and fought side-by-side on the battlefield. He sort-of always knew, in his heart at least, that you were the one for him. Paz couldn't imagine spending the rest of his life with anyone else.

"To bring new life into our tribe, and honor those who fell for us to be here, I will now announce the matches I see as most beneficial to our survival," the Alor spoke, her helmet scanning over the crowd of fellow Mandalorians in front of her.

She began to read off the pairs, and Paz listened intently for his name. He sent a quick prayer to his ancestors, hoping that they were smiling down upon him so that he could be with the woman he cared so deeply for. Paz searched the crowd and smiled under his helmet when he saw you. Approaching, Paz gently touched your shoulder pauldron, and you turned to him nodding your helmet silently. He returned the nod, wondering if this lovesickness he was feeling was betrayed in his visor. Stars, you looked so beautiful standing there, Paz couldn't help but stare out of the corner of his eye.

"Paz Vizsla..." the Alor said his name, and Paz jerked his helmet up to attention, "And Y/n L/n."

His heart leaped out of his chest, and a smile grew on his face, though no one would know it. Paz turned his head to you to gauge your reaction, which was hard to do when your entire face was covered head-to-toe with beskar. You were just standing there, almost looking like you were hit with a stun gun.

"Y/n..." Paz whispered to you, a gloved hand moving to hold yours. Your helmet jerked to face him in surprise, and your fingers finally entwined with his. At that moment, the whole world was just you two, nothing else mattered.

When the Alor called the end of the meeting, you and Paz were still staring at each other, still holding hands. You could hardly believe it. You, of all people, were matched with Paz Vizsla? Your heart was racing at the mere thought of it. You were grateful, oh stars, you felt as though the ancestors blessed your poor, yearning heart. But you were worried; what if he saw you as nothing more than a friend? What if this pairing would be the end of your closely-knit bond?

"Y/n, cyar'ika, are you listening to me?" Paz squeezed your hand gently, and your heart fluttered.

"I'm sorry, I was in my head. Could you repeat?" You admitted sheepishly, your face feeling warm.

"I was hoping to talk to you outside, if that's okay?" he replied, his gloved thumb carefully rubbing the top of your gloved hand.

"Of course," you reply quickly, unsure of weather or not to remove your hand from his. Paz made the decision for you, firmly holding your hand in his and leading you out of the main hall.
