Chapter 8

Lily, I was wondering if you wanna come on a date? Got an idea, meet me at the back school gates at 11? Lou xx

You quickly read the text you had just received excitedly.

Sure, sounds fab! Cya then! Lily xx

You jumped up out of bed and checked the time. 9:30, you had an hour and a half to get ready and meet Louis. This was going to be your first date and you needed to look perfect. You quickly ran into the shower and scrubbed yourself under the hot water with flowery smelling soaps and body washes before washing your hair thoroughly with your pink lily extract shampoo. Jumping out of the shower, you wrapped your hair up and covered yourself with a towel before running back into your bedroom to get dressed. Putting on your bath robe you began blow drying your hair, which took a long time as it was so long. When it was dry you took a moment to pause, wondering if Louis would prefer your hair natural, curled or straight. You decided to go with natural. Spraying some Lil perfume into your hair you chose your outfit. It was sunny and warm outside for a change so you decided on a flowing, floral printed strapless dress with a tight bodice and low back. Pulling on your gladiator sandals you pulled your hair to the front and applied some light makeup. You looked in the mirror. You looked quite pretty you thought. You looked natural and thought Louis would like that. You were only slightly worried that you would be a bit overdressed. Picking up your small leather bag you only threw in a few bare essentials, including your phone wallet and lip gloss. Stepping out the door you yelled to our family, “Going out shopping!” before running out the door and walking up to the nearby train station.

“Lily, quick! Get in!” Louis whispered loudly as he pulled up beside you. “I need to talk to ou before we go anywhere.” He quickly pulled up on the side of the road in dark, secluded corner of the street. “I really want to go out with you, but there are complications.” You nodded but your heart fell, thinking maybe you weren’t going to go on a date after all.

“We can’t be seen, yeah I know”

“Oh well! That’s all good then!” Louis said cheerfully in his loud voice. As he started driving the car away from the school.

“Wow Lily! You look amazing!” Louis remarked as he really took you in and saw what you wearing.

“No I don’t, not amazing. In fact I’m really overdressed.” You said embarrassed. Louis turned towards you and grabbed your hand.

“Lily, don’t ever say that you don’t look amazing, because you ALWAYS do!” Louis said smiling, entwining his fingers in your hand.

“Thanks Lou. You look quite dashing yourself.” You said teasingly, lightening the mood.

“Don’t I always?” he said in a posh voice before laughing along with me. He squeezed your hand before letting go and grabbing the wheel.

“Ok, so are you going to tell me what we’re doing today?” you asked hopefully even though you thought you knew the answer.

Nope! Not a chance!” You smiled at Louis whilst you drove off together towards the mystery destination.

Louis turned then turned on the radio. It happened to have a One Direction song playing.

“If I’m louder, would you see me? Would you lay down in my arms and rescue me?”

“Oh Niall, what a funny lad he is.” Louis said whilst chortling slightly. You smiled.

“And when I see you on the street, in his arms I get weak, my body fails, I’m on my knees, Prayin!”

You froze. That was Louis. And he sounded amazing, like an angel. Louis noticed your rigid position and sighed looking sad.

 “I know I sound horrible, you don’t have to say anything.” He said sadly. “All of the other boys are amazing singers, and then there’s me. You suddenly turned straight towards Louis.

“Louis, pull over. PULL OVER LOUIS.” You said getting frustrated. He pulled over the car.

“I’m sorry, if you don’t want to do this then it’s ok. It was stupid to think that you would want to go out….” What Louis was trying to say was cut off as you ripped off your seatbelt and leant over and kissed him hard on the lips. “What was that for?” he asked shocked but looking happy as you leaned back into your seat.

“Well for one I was annoyed at you and wanted to stop you talking…”

“Oh, why were you annoyed?” Louis suddenly looked hurt and sad.

“Because you said that you were a bad singer.”

“I thought that you thought that I was a bad singer. Well that’s what you said in the first lesson when you got a bit heated anyway.”

“Louis, you are an amazing singer, I didn’t mean what I said in that lesson and frankly I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here right now because I truly think I’m in love with you and I just want to spend time with you.” Louis looked at you with his jaw open.

“YOU…ARE…AMAZING…” you blushed at Louis’s comment.

“Well come on then, let’s get this show on the road! Because you won’t tell me where we’re going I want to find out ASAP, the first date is always crucial.”

“Righteo Ma’am!” Louis saluted you and you started giggling. You then drove off with Louis thinking that this was already one of the best dates ever.
