“SO GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT OF MY HEAD. AND FALL INTO MY ARMS INSTEAD…” Louis’ alarm clock sang out and he jumped up suddenly and hit it off. Slowly still half asleep he lay back down and cuddled up next to you. You could hardly open your eyes you were so tired and it was warm in the bed, under the covers. You didn’t want to get up, you didn’t want to have to go to school and you didn’t want to have to leave Louis. Suddenly alarm shot through your body and your eyes flew open. Louis yawned.

“What’s wrong?” he mumbled still half asleep.

“Louis, how many times have you pressed snooze on the alarm?” you asked quickly.

“What?” Louis said slowly and confused, rising up and yawning, stretching his arms.

“I said, how many times have you pressed snooze on the alarm?” you asked a little more urgent this time.

“I uh, once, I don’t know, yeah once.” he said confused. He sat up and looked at you, concerned. “Hey what’s wrong love?” he asked sounding worried. You were frozen with your eyes open wide looking at his alarm clock. You grinned and looked back at Louis pickiied u your pillow and hit him hard.

“Louis, you idiot! School starts in 15 minutes! You must have pressed snooze like 10 times!” you groaned in between laughs whilst he desperately tried to protect his face whilst you kept hitting him with the pillow.

“Enough, ENOUGH!” Louis yelled at the top of his lungs and you put down the pillow, showing him mercy. “Ok, s get dressed, get everything ready and I’ll meet you downstairs in 10 minutes.” He said quickly still smiling whilst he jumped up out of bed. He chuckled at the look of horror on your face.

“Louis! I can’t get ready in 10 minutes!” you whined and he helped you up off the bed by grabbing your hand.

“Well love, you’ll just have to try!” he said cheekily before doing an over dramatic run towards the bathroom which made you laugh.

You ran into your bedroom- which you hadn’t really used- pulled out some clothes for the day and jumped in the shower. You didn’t have time to wait for the water to heat so you stood in the freezing water quickly washing your body, lathering it in soap. You put your face directly under the stream of freezing water which definitely woke you up. You jumped out of the shower and pulled on the clothes you had set out. Artfully faded skinny jeans and a skin colour sleeveless top which had a small black collar, making it look like vintage. You pulled on a cardigan and tore out the door carrying your all-ready packed schoolbag. Sprinting down the stairs you almost fell over when you flew into Louis who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

“You ready?” he enquired and you nodded. “I made you some toast and um, err; one of my bodyguards is driving us. He’s not impressed with our lateness.” He said almost awkwardly. You ignore his odd tone and rushed into the kitchen picking up the toast, stuffing a piece in your mouth and racing out the door. Louis was now outside holding the door open for you. You slid in quickly and Louis followed you in. Once inside and the car had begun to move you breathed a sigh of relief.

“Excited for your first day back at school?” Louis asked excitedly clapping his hands on his knees and looking at you like a child. You gave him a very unimpressed look. “What?” he asked in a high pitch, childish voice. You shook your head at him in exasperation.

“Louis…” you groaned sighing. You playfully punched him on the shoulder before stiffening. “Um, does he, does he know? Um, like, about…us?” you asked quietly and slightly awkwardly.

“Yep!” Louis said like a child, popping the P.

“Now you two, remember they can’t know about your…situation.” The large man sitting in the front said stiffly. “So lay low.” He added still keeping his eyes on the road. Louis sighed.

“We know…” he trailed off clasping your hand in his. You gave him a squeeze and he squeezed back.

“Oh my god.” You said as you looked out the window. There were what looked like hundreds of girls lining up at the back of the school where we were about to get dropped off. The windows were tinted so Louis quickly leaned over and kissed you. You got butterflies in your tummy every time you kissed and every kiss felt different. You really didn’t want to but you had to pull apart. The windows of the car were tinted except who knows what sort of expert devices thos girls have to get pictures of their idol.

“You haven’t noticed this before?” Louis asked you looking confused.

“Uh, NO actually.” You said.

“Huh. HOW ON EARTH COULD YOU NOT NOTICE ALL THESE GIRLS STANDING OUTSDEYOUR SCHOOL??!!” Louis asked incredulously. You laughed at him.

“I leave through the front entrance.” You said in a perfectly normal voice making it sound simply obvious.

“I leave through the front entrance!” Louis said in a very bad impression of you. “One does not simply NOT notice hundreds of screaming girls outside somewhere they come every week day!” you laughed at him and he smiled still looking shocked.

“You don’t seem very happy about any way!” you said still laughing. Louis looked down and sighed.

“It’s just the same everywhere I go, I mean I love them, they get up early every morning before school to come here, get late for their own school then race here after school to see me. They’re amazing fans it’s just it means I never get any privacy.” He said animatedly then growing quieter as if he was guilty of not enjoying all the attention.

“I get it Lou. Now come on we’ve got to get out. So meet me at the FRONT entrance today after school so we can go home together. I still have 1 more day at your place and I want to enjoy it!” you said and Louis grinned.

“Of course master.” He said in a very serious voice and you opened the car door.

You were shocked to see what was awaiting you. As you stepped out of the car you were bombarded with flashing lights and you squinted to see what was going on. It appeared as if all the fans were trying to take pictures and run forward towards Louis who had followed you out of the car but were being held back by the school’s security guards plus some of the local police.

“Wow.” You said simply before someone pushed you forwards. You turned around to see Louis’s bodyguard pushing you both along into the school where they then locked the gates. As you walked in the girls all swarmed to the closed gates, shoving themselves up between the bars trying to yell out to Louis. Louis beckoned you forward and you followed him into the school. Soon the screams died down.

“I repeat, WOW.” You said and Louis chuckled.

“See you later Lily.” Louis whispered before turning and walking away towards the drama department. You were shocked and slightly hurt by his sudden dismissal when you remembered you had to pretend there was nothing going on between you.

“What’s up Lil?” a voice said and as you turned around Keira leaped onto you. You laughed as she fell on the ground and you helped her up.

“Nothin much Keira, what about you?” you asked your best friend.

“Nothin much either my friend, but I know your lying so follow me and tell me ALL the nitty gritty deets!” Keira whispered in your ear and you froze. She knew, she knew about you and Louis.

“Uh deets of what?”

“Your stay at Louis’s house of course! Oh my god is he nice? Like did he bring you soup and stuff?” she asked intently. You laughed at her craziness. Keira was a hard core fan of one direction and you now realised she had no idea what had gone on.

“I’ll tell you later, come on, we’re late for class!” you said bounding off. Keira ran after you yelling after you that you were being mean by teasing her and denying her important knowledge. You laughed as you walked into the building and thought about how, with Keira, this first day back may not be so unbearable after all.
