Chapter 6 : Don't Step Me

We both prepared ourselves for work and before I drove to work he gave me a kiss on the chick. When I got at work I found Jordans fiancée sitting in my office waiting for me. I walked in and greeted her and she greeted me back. She said "Have you seen Jordan? He didn't come home last night." I looked at her with shock and said "Uhm... No I haven't seen him." She gave me a dirty stare and said "Okay let me go than." I carried on with my work and knocked off. When I got home I started vomitting and feeling dizzy. I stayed up all night vomitting. The next day Jordan came to check up on me and he found me vomitting. He said "should I buy you a pregnancy test?" I looked at him with a confused face than I said "no I already have many in my drawer." I took it out and did the process of checking the pregnant test. We waited for a while. When I went back to look at the results turns out I'm pregnant. I was having a bitter sweet moment. As soon as I told Jordan he jumped with excitement and he said" Ain't you happy? I'm having my first child." I looked at him with sadness and said "Jay I'm a not okay with this. What will your fiancée say about this?what about your parents and family?" He looked at me and said "You the only one I love and I'll be more than happy to tell my family that you pregnant with my baby. Our baby now." I said "Jay this is not right and plus you just started your new life. I'm guilty because your fiancée came to my office today and she asked me about you. She asked if I haven't seen you or anything and I lied to her. I'm not that type of woman okay, so you can go to your family but promise me that you won't tell them." He said" If you promise to come to the family dinner tonight than I won't tell anyone. You can't say no to this. I'll see you at 8 pm sharp. Bye baby and the little baby inside of you." As soon as he left I prepared myself for dinner at 8 pm. By the time it was 8 pm I was already there in time. The family dinner was amazing until Jordan made an announcement. He first looked at me and smiled everyone was looking at us. He said" Moni you know that I adore you.." I interpreted him and said"You are a engaged man Jay." He looked at me and laughed, he said "Moni I can't wait for our.." I stood up and said "What the hell do you think you doing we agreed on this!" He said "You the one who agreed not me. You pregnant with our child and you don't want me to be a father to my kid along with my family!" Everyone seemed shocked. His mother looked at me and said "Is this true Moni?" I looked at her with shyness said" Yes and I'm starting to think that it was also a mistake trusting Jay to keep this hidden. I'm sorry everyone it's best if I leave." As I left all I could hear them at the back arguing. The next morning Jordan knocked on the door when I opened up he came with his family. He said" Hi can we come in?" I said" Yes y'all can." They sat down and Jordans mom looked at me, and said" Moni I'm really looking forward to spending time with my grandchild and please don't take the child away from us." I inhaled and exhaled sofly and said" It's fine I won't keep the child away from you guys." Everyone looked at me and gave me a hug. Someone knocked at the door when I opened it was Lee. He came in and greeted everyone. He pulled me aside and said" Can't wait for the new baby to be born." He smiled and gave me a kiss on the chick than he left. It was obvious he was up to me every step of the way. When I came back Jordan seemed angry and I pretended like I didn't see him. When everyone left after a while he came to me and said" What was Lee doing here drooling over you."I looked at him and told him why Lee was here. He said" How the hell does he know that you pregnant? " I said" Look I don't know yet but it's either someone is working on the inside for them or someone is following me at every move." He said " Well we have to find out soon but now I have to keep you safe. Let me go and collect my goons." He gave me a kiss on the lip and left. Suddenly my investigater called and gave me Lees information. Now I'm getting somewhere. Lee your days are numbered pretty boy!!
