(Y/N) POV

Jenn...I miss you

My eyes shoot open as my phone starts ringing.

"(Y/N) shut it off," Kate says beside me in bed

"I'm on it, I'm on it," I say as I grab my phone

It was Kazuto...what's he doing calling at this hour?

I answer the phone

"Kirito, do you know what time it is?" I ask him as he starts rambling on about something

"Simple words please," I ask as he stops

"I think Jenn wasn't killed in SAO," he says. Kate instantly sat up and looked at me with wide eyes.

She grabbed my phone

"How! Where is she! Is she ok!" Kate yells on the phone as her face of worry is apparent.

"Listen, it's been a few years since SAO. I've tracked her down. She's in an orphanage,"

Kazuto gave us the details and Kate wasn't letting me get the rest of my sleep

"Kate, honey, it's 3 am," I say as she hugs me

"I want to see her..if it's really her, I want to see her," she cries in my chest as I feel my eyes get watery too.

"I guess I want to too," I say as I search the address in google maps. It was a 4-hour drive from here.

Ok, let's get some breakfast and head out

"We can grab some on the way there," Kate says as she gets her coat and boots on.

"Damn," I mutter as I follow suit.

It's been 6 months since I was released from the underworld. Me and Kate got ourselves a small apartment and we go to a university nearby. My parents and Kimmy pay for our living expenses so we didn't need to worry about working

I get into a car that Kate got for her 19th birthday from Kimmy. It was a nice car...would be nicer if I wasn't the one driving it all the time.

I shifted into the drive as we started our way.

We dropped by a fast food place for some early breakfast.

"Quite early for breakfast," the worker says as I laugh

"Tell the missus that," I say as we chuckle. Kate puffed her cheeks from my teasing of her...she looked cute.

"Thanks," I say

"Drive safe," the worker says as we continue.

The sun raised around 6 in the morning.

With all of our stops and other matters, such as traffic. We arrived there at 8.

"Kate, ain't no way they are letting anyone in," I say as she gets out of the car and walks at a fast pace toward the entrance.

She knocked at the door and it took a while for it to be answered

"Hello miss, can we help you?" A Nun asks...or a maid...I don't know.

"I'm here to see a kid. She will be around 11 I think," Kate says as the lady eyes me and Kate up.

"What's her name?" She asks as Kate looks at me

"Jenn, we think," I say as she nods and shuts the door.

"Umm...hello?" Kate asks as silence follows.

Kate looked at me with worried eyes as she hugs me.

"It'll be fine, she might not even be here," I say as she hugs me tighter

"I hope she is...she was taken away too fast," she says.

The door opened, and the lady invited us in

"It's not every day we get visitors asking for a certain kid," the lady says.

"Especially not that one," she says as I frown...is this really Jenn.

"The girls are getting ready, I asked Jenn to meet you guys in that room. She'll be down once she is ready," the lady says as she puts us in a room.

"Are you nervous?" Kate asks me

"Yea. I am," I say

"Me too," Kate says as she cuddles up to my shoulder. I liked her warmth...it soothed me after the long drive to get here.

The door opened and the lady came in...followed by a girl.

My eyes teared up at the sight of her...her red hair was tied into a ponytail...and her dark eyes locked on mine.

"Jenn?" Kate asks as the girl looks at her

"(U/N)...Liz?" My heart drops as I hear our usernames...it's her...it really is her!

"Jenn!" Kate says as she escapes my arms and rushes toward the girl and engulfs her in a big hug.

"Liz...your....can't....breath!" Jenn says as Kate loosens her grip

"I missed you...I missed you so much!" Kate says as the girl looks at me with tears in her eye

"I missed you too...I missed you both a lot! What happened!" Jenn asks

"You saved Kirito...you jumped in front of Heathcliffs blade," I say as tears escape my eye

"We all thought you died," I say as the girl approaches me and hugs me. I gratefully hugged back.

Kate joined in as the lady who let us in was a little uncomfortable.

"Can we adopt her or something?" Kate asks the lady as she shrugs

"If you're qualified...the yes," she says as I smile...I had always dreamed of finding Jenn again...I never thought it would be true.

The lady asked us all sorts of questions...and then she left and came back a couple of minutes after

"You two aren't qualified. I mean, you two just finished high school," she says as my heart drops a little.

"But..." Kate wants to protest as I have an idea...

I pull my phone out and call the one person I know we can rely on.

"Hey, Linda...I need a favour,"
