Third-person pov

Oceane couldn't fall asleep, so she decides to go to her favorite place, where she goes whenever she can't sleep or feels down. The cliff with a beautiful view. She plugs in her earphone and listens to Vanilla Twilight by Owl City while humming it in her sweet and melodic voice.

The stars lean down to kiss you

And I lie awake and miss you

Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere

'Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly

But I'll miss your arms around me

I'd send a postcard to you, dear

'Cause I wish you were here

Oceane walks towards her favorite spot while humming the song.

I'll watch the night turn light blue

But it's not the same without you

Because it takes two to whisper quietly

The silence isn't so bad

'Til I look at my hands and feel sad

'Cause the spaces between my fingers

Are right where yours fit perfectly

She closes her eyes, feels the cool breeze, and loosens up while listening to the song. After enjoying the current of air for some time, she opens her eyes. Her blue-green eyes reflected the beautiful night sky filled with stars. She felt at peace and calmed down, her thoughts not running wild anymore. She relaxed her body which was tired because of the first day at school.

I'll find repose in new ways

Though I haven't slept in two days

'Cause cold nostalgia chills me to the bone

But drenched in vanilla twilight

I'll sit on the front porch all night

Waist deep in thought because when

I think of you; I don't feel so alone

One could hear her melodic voice from far away. While she gets lost in her world of humming and stargazing, a boy of her age enters her escape place unknowingly. He was jogging to clear his mind at midnight. He finds himself heading towards the cliff due to an ambiguous angelic voice and follows it until he sees a beautiful girl standing at the edge of a cliff humming a song and looking at the sky. He looks up and is mesmerized by the beauty of the night sky. He had never seen a sky full of stars in his old city. It was stunning.

Not wanting to scare the girl with his presence, he moved to a place where she could not see him, yet he could see her and hear her voice.

He was mesmerized by the beauty of the night sky and the beautiful voice of the girl standing not so far away from him. Oblivious of the changes that this one meeting could bring in each other's life. Both of them, lost in their worlds, where they could hear only two things prominently, the rustling of leaves due to the wind and the beautiful voice of the girl foreign to him.

I don't feel so alone

I don't feel so alone

As many times as I blink

I'll think of you tonight

I'll think of you tonight

They didn't know each other, yet they were singing the same song. While the boy could listen to her, the girl couldn't hear him. Both eyes closed, enjoying the beauty of nature.

The girl and boy both wished.
"I want to know more about myself."

"I want to be more like myself."

They believed that, like their other wishes, getting this wish fulfilled would be impossible. Little did they know that their world would collide with each other. All the questions will have answers. Many new emotions stirred within. They were bounded with each other by fate, and it would result in fulfilled wishes. 'Everything has a right time.' Their right time started just by a mere coincidence on the edge of a cliff.

Right at the moment they wished, a shooting star glided across the sky, unbeknownst to them.
