"Hello?" You set your bag by the side of the table. You looked at the clock-in list. Antfrost was the only one working...weird. You wrote your name and the time you arrived on the sheet. The last time you have seen Ant was when the bloodshot vines started retracting.

And then like always everyone acted like nothing happened like the SMP wasn't covered in red ropes. You quietly whistled, swinging the keys around. "Antfrost?" You would say every time you entered a room.

The prison was silent except the faint sound of a bell- -a bell?. You looked up. Was someone playing a joke on you? The bell got louder the closer you got to the maximum-security cell. "Let's go!" You could hear muffled voices arguing back and forth.

"Is Dream role-playing again?" You muttered in annoyance.  If he was he upgraded in better voices. "This is going to be interesting" Your hand hovered over a lever. But there was no way you could have crossed the lava without having someone reel you back in.

You put your hand back at your side. The keys shifted in your squeezed palm. You used one of the secret passages hidden in the obsidian walls. It led to the emergency locker room. Polished sets of netherite armor were placed on wooden stands.

You went in front of your set. Your knees met the cold floor. The wide chest latched made a click before opening up. Organizational slots are lined along the wooden bottom. You grabbed the small tablet. Your fingers were fast, turning it on, typing in the password, and waiting for the camera to load.

"What the hell" You got off the ground. The clutch on the tablet's case tightens. Maybe you missed too many days at the prison but why the hell was Technoblade sitting next to Dream. "Stop ringing it" Dream's voice could be heard from the tiny speaker.

The small image of a golden bell swinging back and forth caused high-pitched rings. "Never!" Techno chanted, his deep monolog voice laughed. The wet slaps of heavy boots against the floors got closer to the room. As much as your curiosity wanted to restrict you from throwing the tablet down, you knew you had to.

You kneeled back down, pushing the chests top-up. You shoved the tablet in the small crack. A small clatter was muffled when you shut the chest. "Were you looking for me?" Ant was carrying some books. "I was" You smiled, slowly taking your hands off the chest.

"How are you feeling?" Your face scrunched in confusion. "I thought you were sick since you haven't been here" "No- -I mean yeah just something small though" You didn't know why you lied. "You should go say hi to Sam. He should be happy to see that your better" "Yeah..." You chuckled, walking to the exit of the room.

Your footsteps were fast, same as the questions bouncing off the walls. You didn't know whether to be confused or angry. Sam wasn't obligated to tell you everything but it did hurt, slightly. "Y/n, where did you go?" Sam's hair was messy. He wasn't in his Warden's armor. He had a white button-up shirt and the front was unevenly tucked in. His sleeves were pulled up to his elbows.

It looked like he had just run a mile but still had the stamina to go more. The sweat was perfectly laid in a thin coat around his skin. The dampness made the thin piece of white fabric stick to his skin. A visible outline of his abs poked out. "I was just about to go to Dream's cell" "Everything is okay with him"

Sam smiled. Your arms deflate. It felt like your heart was grabbed and smashed into your spine. "Oh okay," You had no reason to be disappointed. After all, he wasn't obligated to do anything.

A/N: The tablet/camera in Dream's cell is mentioned in chapter 2. I realized this story is not a self-insert and an actual x reader so I'll be writing more in that direction. Also, I feel like some people don't understand how much I love it when y'all compliment me on a chapter, especially when I have a bad day. I love you all so much <333
