It felt like the time couldn't go any slower. The looming presence sends sparks through your veins. "Tch" Hissed Sam, his body rose. Before he could leave he turned back. Your eyes stayed glued onto your phone, body tense. "Quackity is here" Sam studied your facial expressions.
The words escaping his mouth surprised him more than you. You hesitantly blinked up at Sam, dazed and confused. You're mind flashed to the mountain conversation. "Say hi for me" Your eyes dipped back in your phone. The sound of the door closing and heavy netherite footsteps getting distant made you let out a shaky breath.
The sharp cold air hit the back of your throat. You rushed to the door, pushing your weight on it while twisting the doorknob to silence any sound. You opened the door to a crack. "It's only 2 of them and 1 of me-" Quackity's booming voice was by the hallway. You quickly closed the door.
The burning sensation grew as your heart started to beat faster. "Think fast, think fast" You muttered going over your options. Quackity's intentions always change and if Sam is letting him bring weapons into the cell no telling what is going to happen.
The vent caught your attention. The square vent wasn't big or small and was cleaned regularly. The vents were connected with upstairs pathways and expanded into larger ones. Their purpose wasn't to only release fresh filtered air but an emergency escape route.
The wobbling wooden chair plus my weight and height created a growing ball of anxiety. Your hands outstretched to the top of the vent and side. The compressed steel against your hand felt like you might pop a blood vessel. "Come on" You whispered, the feeling in your hand vanished and electrical static replaced it.
The sound of the vent popping and you dropping the useless item bounced off the walls. You tried your best to pull yourself in the hole but instead, you contorted into squid latching on to their pray.
A strong gust of wind passed you every once in a while. The tunnel started to open up to a more walkable size. You smiled in relief but the smile soon faded when you realized what had reinstated the air. The wafting smell of strong packs of lava soaked up any moisture.
The obsidian was dry. The air was humid and you found yourself wanting to go back into the claustrophobic vent. The lava started going down. The cell seemed so far down. You squinted, the heatwaves blinding your vision. You peered out. Techno was staring across the lava, his fingers latched on the cells crisp cracked obsidian.
The beads of sweat forming on your eyeballs cleared. You blinked away the hot tears. When you opened your eyes Techno was now staring directly up at you. The dark oval shape bags signaled he wasn't getting any less sleep than you. You froze, muttering a quick curse before looking at Dream. Dream was distracted by the slow dripping lava, 1 inch away from seeping into their cell.
Techno looked away, his body going back into the cell. Redstone clicked all around you, some close, some distant. Quackity was self monologing, his tan fingers gripping the enchanted sheer in his hand. A print of a polished pickaxe however stood out, dangling on the waistband of his armor
