A/N: It has come to my attention that in chapter 2 I said something that might have offended non-binary people. (Contexted: When the reader was talking to Sam about crushes/available people, I only stated "boy or a girl") I truly apologize for that and will inform myself in the future. I'm not going to make a shitty influencer excuse about how I'm still young and I learn from my mistakes. You decide to forgive or not forgive me, love you all either way! 💕

It wasn't a doubt that Sam held a strong admiration for you. It may have started when the small thing you did catch his eye. The way sunlight grazed over your skin or the way words could spill over your lips. The minor interactions you two had would replay in his mind all day, making his body go warm until he could latch onto another memory.

But it is platonic, you've been friends for such a long time that anyone could develop strong feelings. Feelings are confusing, they can be so easily manipulated and developed. Sam and you were just friends...nothing more.

No matter if his heart did laps when he saw you if his stomach would turn if he saw you talking too long to someone if his thoughts were corrupted by the thought of you.

"More of platonic soul mates than actual soul mates" You hummed. The sound of crisp pages passing in-between Sam's fingers sliced through the air. Sam slightly jolted. His eyes darted around before looking behind him. "Y'know your not-" "Yeah, don't clock in till 4"

Your voice is covered in a mocking tone. "I just wanted to come in early" You bit your tongue from showing a quivering smile. Sam took it as the truth as his eyes returned to his book. "Yeah...platonic" A transparent string slightly tugged on your back.

You hesitantly lifted a foot a centimeter off the ground. "I'll just leave you to it" You didn't wait for an answer and turned around. The air starts getting humid. A thrilling excitement pumped along with my blood. The opening of the door was silenced by a hand.

Sam's pale fingertips pressed hard against the door, his fingers were arched and different sized veins climbed down the back of his hand. The "thrill" and dishonesty blended until you were practically shaking in your boots. "Sorry" Sam swallowed with a light chuckle after he realized how the door closing so loud made you flinch.

"You should probably stay here until it's 4. I don't want you overworking yourself before your hours" Sam's vision fixated on you like he was trying to study how your face would contort. Maybe he didn't see through the lie. You slowly nodded your head while flickering over each move you made.

A\N: I haven't watched anyone's streams lately that's why this chapter might seem repetitive or "familiar"
