Stay by my side || Chris Evans

Part 1

LILY'S POV

It's early in the morning and Chris wakes me up with a kiss on my forehead and whispers in my ear: "see you in two weeks my love, I have to go".

I nod with my head, with eyes still closed and with a sleepy voice answer: "take care, let me know something when you have time".

I hear him walk away, leaving me alone in that massive house just with Dodger, who immediately comes next to me to get his daily cuddles.

I don't even know where he's going, I'm still half asleep when he goes away and I forget to ask, even if usually he tells me everything about his job.

Later that day I still have no news from Chris and I'm not sure if I should call him or not, he may still be on the plane or maybe he is on set and I prefer to not disturb him, I will definitely hear from him.

Chris and I always got along and never argued or left each other, we were always side by side but, during the last few months, I've been seeing Chris getting more and more distant, he spoke almost never and started to forget things easier.

He has always been the most caring person towards me, he used to listen to me all the time without ever interrupting and even the dumbest thing interested him if that happened to me.

Also, he is a weary person, he loves to talk about his job and the crazy things that happen to him while he is out of town for work.

On my mind run around many thoughts and various times I tried to open the topic with him, but he always answered that he was just stressed because of his job.

But I know him too well, and also know that there is something wrong, and I'm determined to understand what he's going through.
