Epilogue

4 months later

LILY'S POV

Four months had passed since the surgery Chris and I had to submit.  Things started to get better daily, Chris slowly began to do things on his own again and became who he was before this problem came.

He is again the sweet and lovely person he used to be, he started to play a lot with Dodger, he also began to work again submitting to many auditions, hoping to get a role after all this time.

But the thing that healed my heart the most, more spiritually than physically, is the fact that he started to tell me every single thing that went through his mind. He understood, after all this experience, that he has nothing to be afraid of, because I will stay by his side no matter what. He told me about every little pain he had, he asked me to help him when he wasn't still able to do something, even if I knew he hated it, he wanted to look strong, he didn't like to be vulnerable but everytime I saw him sad I reassured him, and everything went back to normal.

Though all these cute things and all the progress the two of us have been making, it still isn't easy. There were days in which Chris seemed a weight on my shoulders. During those days I took a lot of time to think, to medidate and I immediately understood that also this is part of the process.

Chris is the only reason that keeps me above the surface, especially now that a part of himself will always lie inside of me. I will have always love him, no matter what.

CHRIS' POV

I have been thinking and planning every single thing the more detailed as possible. I want everything to be perfect. Just like her.

After coming out of the hospital I heard from Scott almost everyday, everything started to shape and the more the days passed, the more I was sure of what I was doing. After quite some time everything was almost ready.

After all she did for me, what I was doing was the minimum. She deserved all the happiness in the world.

After the surgery she had stayed by my side, she kept her promise no matter all the hard times we had to go through.

I know that somedays she just wanted to send me to hell, that's why I hated to show myself being vulnerable but, after some time alone, she always came back to me, apologizing for acting that way:

"You have nothing to apologize for, I know this is hard for the both of us but we will get through this together. I promise"

And she sat on my lap, touching my forehead with hers as we looked at each other, the eyes telling what the words couldn't say, our bodies expressing what our feelings couldn't show.

LILY'S POV

I keep seeing Chris hiding sometimes with strange excuses just to stay for a moment away from me. He acts weirdly while he's gone and then he comes back to me pretending nothing happened. And so I did, pretending I don't suspect anything.

I hear him talking on the phone alomost everyday, but I don't know who he's talking to because everytime I approach him during one of the calls he ends it up so quickly that I don't even have the time to ask who it was.

Unluckily for me, he is also very smart. I tried all the methods to discover what was happening, even checking his phone in the middle of the night or while he was showering, even if I hated to sneak into his business but I was just curious and all the hiding stuff made it even more exciting.

Some days later

CHRIS' POV

Everything is ready, Scott showed me and it's all perfect, just as I planned it. I told Lily we are just going to spend a few days in Boston at my family's house, which isn't all a lie because we are really staying there, but she doesn't know anything about what is going to happen anytime soon.
