Beep Beep Beep Beep

I hear as I slowly open my eyes. I look around to find Joey and some random girl sitting on a couch in the room. I look to my left a see a heart moniter and some blood hooked up to a tube that was put into my arm.

"Shes awake!" Joey jumped up to his feet and walks over to me.

"What happened? Where am I?" I ask as I once again look around.

"You over cut last night. So now your here in the hospital now." Joey answers me as I keep looking around.

I look down at my arm and see it wrapped up with some cloth with some blood stains. I look at Joey once again then back at the girl sitting on the couch. She was looking down at her phone. I guess Joey saw the confusion in my face as he now spoke up.

"So ummm... Mariana meet Ali." he says as Ali stands up and puts her phone away. "Ali meet Mariana. Mariana this is my girlfriend" Joey says while looking at her and kissing her forehead.

"Hi... nice to meet you." She says in excitement while holding out her hand for me to shake.

"Hi... n-nice to m-meet you." I sttuter while shaking her hand.

I look around again to see who else was here. I was hoping that my parents wouldn't be here. I was in luck. I kinda already knew they weren't coming since they never even care about us any more. I hear the door open slowly as I look to the door way I see, Connor?! I see him come in with some balloons and a giant card?

What is going on? Why is he here? I don't even know him for god sake. I thought to myself as he walked over to where I was.

"Hey Mari. How are you feeling?" He asked as he set down the huge card on my lap. "I got these for you along with this card." he continued.

"T-thanks I appreciate i-it." I replied looking down at the card.

"That reminds me!" Joey says as he runs out of the room leaving me, Connor and Ali in the room. It was an awkward silence till Joey came bursting into the room with a box.

"What is that?" I ask as I look down at the box that was now on my lap.

"It's your gift. Open it hurry." Joey says in excitment as Ali and Connor laugh at his childish remark.

"Okay, okay just calm down." I laugh as I slowly take the top off of the box.

"Oh my god! Joey you didn't have to. Its beautiful!" I gasp as I pick up a little kitten out of the box.

The kitten was all black except for an orange heart perfectly on its forehead. I look over to joey who was now just staring at me.

"So what are you gonna name it?" Connor asked me as I looked up at him.

"Ummm... Hmmm maybe... Lets see. Oh I know Mildred!" I shouted in excitment.

"Thank you all so much." I say as I look at everyone staring down at me and Mildred.
