"Kumusta 'yung class Eli? Sorry talaga ah umalis kasi kami ngayon, pero bukas andyan naman na ako."
I called Miles to say that the class ended. I learned a lot, even though na introduction pa lang ng klase.
"Okay lang 'yun may next time pa naman. Kanina, nagpa-intro lang 'yung coach. Masaya naman. Sige ingat ka dyan, goodnight!" I dropped the call.
Humiga na ako sa kama, and I suddenly thought of the guy earlier. Ilang taon na kaya siya? Matagal na kaya siya doon? Many questions about him that make my curiosity spin around. Itanong ko kaya kay Miles?
No, bad idea.
I just brush it off my head at natulog na. The next morning, kuya Elliott cooked breakfast for us three. Wala ata sila Mama dito, umalis sabi ni kuya Elijah. May inasikaso raw. Kailan pa naging busy si Mama? All I know is si Daddy lang lagi ang umaalis para magturo. It feels different.
"Kuya sa tingin mo saan nagpunta si Mama? Lagi naman siya dito sa bahay bukod sa faculty clubs niya." I asked kuya Elijah while kuya Elliott is staring at us.
"Hindi ko alam. Ang weird 'no? Lagi na siya may kausap sa phone. Hayaan mo na baka-"
"Don't ask more Eliana, I think she's doing it for our good...Maybe inaasikaso niya 'yung ibang papers for this house. Just eat." Kuya Elliott smiled timidly, interrupting us.
I washed the dishes after namin kumain.
Si kuya Elijah sa paglilinis, and kuya Elliott for cooking.
"Eli!" Someone at the gate shouted. Lahat kaming tatlo napalingon. But she sounds like Miles.
"Kuya ako na, si Miles ata 'to." I opened the door, she is standing there with her backpack and a paper bag.
"Kakauwi mo lang?" I asked her while opening the gate. She nodded and handed me the paper bag.
"Pasalubong Eli oh. Mura kasi kaya naisipan ko na bigyan ka at 'yung mga kaibigan ko dito." I looked inside, may goods from Tagaytay. Ahh, galing pala siya doon.
"Thank you for this, babawi ako I swear!" I smiled. "Kwento mo naman 'yung mga nangyari kahapon!" She demanded.
I looked at her, mukha siyang pagod na pagod from the trip.
"Punta ka dito mamaya, magpahinga ka muna o maligo, pagod ka pa." I smiled and she bit her lower lip.
"Hindi kita tinataboy ah! I'm just saying na mag-freshen up ka muna, dumiretso ka agad dito, nakakahiya." I chuckled.
