"What's that Kuya? Dapat tinawag mo na lang ako, nagsayang ka pa ng load." I am sitting on his gaming chair, patiently waiting for his response. He texted me earlier to go home after I finished eating.
Kuya Elliott is just staring blankly at the ceiling of his room.
I wonder what's taking him so long. Masyado bang importante 'yung sasabihin niya? I can sense that he is also nervous about it.
"Mama will leave." Kuya sighed, massaging his temples. He got up from his lying position and sat.
My brain can't process what he said. Aalis si Mama? Saan? Kailan? I looked at him confused.
"I heard her calling someone over the phone, inaasikaso niya 'yung Visa papuntang...papuntang New Zealand."
"Aalis si Mama sa bansa?" I shouted. He immediately got up to cover my mouth. "Shhh! Don't overreact Eliana." He shushed me.
Andyan naman si Daddy but we know busy rin siya with his students.
New Zealand... Is life there more exciting and more...
In-demand? Gaganda ba ang buhay ni Mama doon? Paano kami? Paano siya mamumuhay doon mag-isa? Paano si Daddy?
These questions are forming out of curiosity. I looked at kuya, and he seems so frustrated and confused.
Should I tell him about this?
"Why will she go far away from us? May magandang job offer ba doon? She can be a better Journalist here kuya!" I almost cracked my voice. I wiped my tear with the back of my hand.
"I don't know Eliana, hintayin natin na siya magsabi. That's the last thing we can hope for. 'Yung hindi siya tumuloy." he kissed my forehead and told me to go back to my room.
I texted Miles to check if may session bukas. While waiting for her reply, I thought of calling Mom.
