So basically Adam before he was kidnapped by Nolan and Logan, his family kicked him out when he was 16 because he came out as gay. He couch hopped for a bit with friends till he got a job and saved up money, then he got a job and an apartment. The night he was kidnapped was the night after he got fired from his job and got evicted from his apartment because he wasn't able to pay rent because his job wasn't paying him enough. One of his friends took him out to a bar for drinks to cheer him up. Then his friend left him alone, paying for all his drinks, etc. He got to drunk and danced, and grinded against Nolan, then Logan and Nolan kidnapped him and took him back to their place. His friend wasn't extremely there for him so it was just a thing of his friend using him to look like they were popular, along with a few other people. Etc.
