I couldn't get what billie told her the other day out of my head

flashback

"I want you to be mine"

she told me

"billie.im flattered but I can't"

I told her

"it's because I'm in here isn't it"

she said pulling away and walking around the room

"partly....you're also a client"

I told her and it hurt to see that what I said hurt her

today they were meeting in my office

just because It was too depressing to sit in that dark cold room

I started with bella first this time and had billie last today

bella isn't the same person she once was and it looks like she'll be released in about 4 months and I was really happy to hear that

I liked working with these girls

I liked knowing that I could help them and I made a positive impact on them

billie was the last one I had today as she walked in and looked around before sitting on the chair across from the couch I sat on

"hey"

she said plainly

I smiled

"first off here"

I said handing her a bag from taco bell

she took it and looked at me confused but her mood changed

"I decided to get you all things you said you liked and I remember you saying you liked taco bell burritos"

I said as she smiled lightly

"damn...thanks"

she said looking at me and setting the bag down and eating one of the 4 I got her

"I figured we'd talk about coping skills and how to deal with your anger and emotions....hopefully I can convince them to get you a release date with community service hours and or being put on house arrest"

I told her as she looked up at me

"really bro"

she asked shocked

"I can't promise they will but i'll try...you just have to show improvement to help me get them on your side"

I told her as she huffed

"i'll try I guess"

she said finishing the burrito and taking off her shoes sitting cross legged on the couch

"so tell me billie what are things you enjoy doing"

I asked

"going outside but I only get a certain amount of time here"

she said placing her elbow on her leg and her chin on her fist

"mhm what else"

I asked taking note of asking for an extended outside period for billie if she needed one and asked politely for it or maybe even earned it

"umm drawing random shit.....listening to music...but I don't know when the last time I heard music was"
