- Tay's POV -

I look at the man sitting quietly in the shotgun seat, watching the rain through the window.

He feels bad and so do I.

I prayed for this day to be perfect.

Okay, maybe I'm not expecting it to be really perfect, but at the very least, I didn't expect it to be the worst first date in the history of first dates ever!

He was already sulking when I picked him up this afternoon.

And I get that.

That was sort of my fault.

Sort of.

'cause I have my reasons for not kissing him.

Which, regrettably, I should have.

Because now, I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to kiss him.

Saying that today was a disaster is an understatement.

First, we watched a movie apart!

Argh!

I kept looking at him during the movie and it was obvious that he was not enjoying.

I didn't, either, of course.

I badly wanted to sit beside him and do the move, you know, the stretch-your-arm-then-drop-it-on-your-date's-shoulder move.

And as if that was not enough, fate played with us again and made that little kid pour his popcorn over Newwiee

Tsk. If Newwie would let me, I would have smacked that kid's head for being careless.

Yeah, I don't let anyone off easily, even if it's a kid. Those little devils.

But Newwiee might get turned off so I controlled myself.

After he came back from the comfort room, he only gave me a small smile and didn't talk to me until we got out of the building.

I tried to salvage the day, of course! I brought him to a high-class restaurant.

I saw his face light up. Not because of the fact that I'm treating him to an expensive meal, but because he's about to eat.

Newwiee loves food. And I like it about him.

But fate really hates me, I think? Because as soon as our orders came, the waiter tripped and spilled the shrimp pasta over him.

Him. Again.

What the fuck, universe?!

No! I'm not taking this as a sign not to date him again!

I really like this guy.

Now maybe I can't save the day, but I'm definitely going to save this night.

I turn on my car speaker and connects it to my phone via Bluetooth. I scroll through my Spotify playlist and chose just the perfect song. I set the volume to maximum.

I open the door to my side, about to alight the car when Newwie turns to me.

"Hey, where are you going?" His forehead is creased and his eyes look a bit red.

He's been crying.

I hate it.

"You'll see." I smile at him and get out of the car. I circle in the front and go to his side. I open his door and see him looking at me all confused.

"What are you doing, Tay? It's raining hard! Get back inside!"

"Get out of the car and join me!" I grin widely and hold out my right hand.
