We make love in our hotel room, fall asleep and then awaken in the morning, only to go at it again. And by making love, I mean we're involved in a situation that requires all three of us banging on a paper-thin mat since the resort wanted to give us the most memorable experience possible.

I suppose bedding my partners like an uncouth ruffian in the middle of the room was quite memorable. Especially when I end up rolling off the mat in the middle of it all.

Iggy falls asleep at some point during or shenanigans so I end up squeezing in some quality time with Eugene and ride him slowly, my soft sighs and his moans filling the room. It's unlike anything that I've ever experienced, this connection with him. His body moves beneath me, his chest rises and falls quickly as he nears his end, damp with sweat.

"Darcy...holy shit!" Eugene breathes, and he reaches up to hold onto my hips. "Make it hurt, baby!"

It's safe to say that I take him there when I slap him across the face and his head snaps to the side. A second later he's arching into the bed as he finishes inside me, one hand tangled in his hair, "Ahh! Ah..!"

We both go still after a few seconds, gasping and huffing from exertion. Then Eugene moves to slide out of me until I stop him. "Wait," I tell him, and I reach down to hold his hand in place. "Can we stay like this for a minute? I like feeling connected to you."

Eugene smiles softly, his eyes closing halfway from exhaustion. Then he rolls us so that we're side by side and I hook my leg around his waist. "So what you're saying is, you're in love with my dick." He smirks. "Maybe I should move out and give you some time alone?"

"That's not what I said," I roll my eyes a little. "Animal," I toss in for good measure.

"Yes you did," He murmurs, and then he snuggles into me, brushing his lips over my cheek. "Don't call me an animal."

"Animal...animal, animal..." I chant and kiss his shoulders and his neck, nibbling on him a little. I taste him and dig my fingers into his skin until he's rock hard again, and then we go for another round, like rabbits.

When it's all said and done and Eugene sleeps just as deeply as Iggy, I'm the only one left awake.

I get up and I stand near the edge of the mat and watch them sleep, sullen and dreary compared to their wholesome substances. Iggy has one arm curled up under his head and Eugene is splayed out like a star, his arms and legs taking up most of the mat.

While it would have been nice to curl up with them, I have other plans in mind.

Plans that involve leaving the hotel and walking out onto unfamiliar streets, trying to remember something. Anything. The houses are all pushed together, there are no tourists this early in the morning so the streets are quiet and only the birds keep me company.

I keep walking, I even purchase a sword at one of the booths with a dragon as the handle.

Then I reach the temple. The only temple in the entire town it seems, built near a gorgeous pond filled with koi fish. The wood is carved a beautiful red, and the roof slopes down to cover the open courtyard. Is this where I had been abandoned?

I suck in a deep breath and head up the steps, only to see a figure standing there when I finally reach the top.

"Hello, Darcy Brown," Nigel smiles, and then he turns to see me. He has too many teeth and I have no patience. Especially considering the fact that he had wiped my friend's memories.

"What are you doing here?" I question, my voice cold. "Haven't you ruined my life enough already?"

Nigel throws his head back and he laughs. Then he stops abruptly. "I came to remind you of our bargain. The fact that you promised not to involve yourself in Eugene and Igor's lives anymore?"

I stare at him from where I stand and lift my eyebrows.

"Why the hell are you in Japan with the very people I told you to avoid?" Nigel continues. "Do you enjoy disobedience? Do you know how many strings I had to pull to bring them back to life? How many chicken tenders I missed out on eating?" He puts his hands on his hips, his kimono fluttering. "You know what?" He reaches for my arm. "Maybe I should just take you back down to Hell--"

I plunge my sword through his chest.

I mean, I absolutely ram it right through the annoying demon man until it bursts through the other side.

Nigel's eyes bulge and he lurches forward, focusing on me. He makes these little choking noises, black blood spills from between his lips. "W-what...?" He rasps, his body shivering. "What have you done, Darcy Brown?"

My sword drops when Nigel vanishes and a black crown drops to the floor where he had stood only moments before. Deep red gems embedded in it glitter in the faint morning light and there are horns fixed to the front above a gaping skull, its mouth open, fire opals for its eyes.

I suppose I had been asking for this.

The Crown.
