YOU WERE SHOWING THE BOYS OUT, LIKE ANY HOST WOULD, WHEN IT HAPPENED.Standing out in the cold of the night, Akaashi had just started walking off after a small side hug. The door behind you was closed as you has a small talk with Bokuto. He offered to show you around school but only if you were to watch him at practice. You agreed, thankful for the personal guide. At the end of your conversation, he had kissed you. Then walked away, waving and leaving you there. The scene played in your head over and over again. Even when trying to sleep. The scene played in your head more when you closed your eyes.
"So I'm going to pick you up soon to show you the school?"
"Yeah that's okay. Just give me a heads up so I can get reader."
Bokuto nodded and laughed slightly. Yet in a flat second he looked down at you, large honey brown eyes boring through what appeared to be your entire existence in itself. You furrowed your brows, a confused smile on your face. "Bokuto?-"
A sudden push against your lips forced your back against the front door. Two large hands cupped either side of your face as he tilted his head. A weak whimper left your throat as your hands wrapped around his wrists.
He pulled away, taking in a moment to stare at your confused flushed face. He took a step back, his fingers trailing along your jawline, staying a moment too long. "Goodnight y/n."
And with that- he left. He left you confused and flustered, only to carefully stumble back into your house and lock the door. You pressed your back against the door, a hand coming up to cover your lips.
You opened your eyes in a slight sweat. Why did hr kiss you? You only knew him for a few hours.
You couldn't get the feeling of his lips off yours, the insistent feeling of his fingertips gently applying pressure on the back of your head. You were embarrassed.
Your first kiss had been taken so quickly, without a second thought. No hesitation as he cornered your body. Your heartbeat fell into a fast rhythm at the thought of his body pressed against yours. Closing your eyes to feel it again.
His chest forced your to squish against him. His knee that gently pressed against your thighs, threatening to break through to the door. The gentle heartbeat that you could feel coming from him, attempting to match the pace of yours. His entire chest felt rock hard, whatever his workout was, clearly it worked.
You rolled over in your bed, a feeling of shame coming over you as your body urged you to feel that again. Curling up, the sound you made only made the shame worse.
You didn't know why he kissed you. Nor did you intend to ask him. Hopefully he wouldn't do it again... or maybe he would. Would that be so bad? So feel that lingering feeling again.
You sighed internally.
Akaashi stared at his ceiling. Why would Bokuto urge him to meet you so badly, if he liked you. He understood that Bokuto had very quickly, almost worryingly quickly, developed feelings for you. Why? He hadn't understood until he met you also.
In the short few hours that Akaashi had hung around you, he quickly grew to adapt to your personality. You were obviously very over aware that he may not like you and he could tell you were trying to answer any question he had with a perfect answer. He watched as you fiddled with your fingers, aware that you were probably nervous cause of his unwavering stare.
Over the small course of time, you seemed to adapt your personality to fit around Akaashi. You relaxed and became more confident in anything you would say.
Meanwhile, anytime he tried to get closer to you, Bokuto would intervene. With one look from his captain, he backed off and gave you space. Yet the looks kept coming. He just couldn't let off for some reason. He wanted to continue to talk to you. The urge to get to know you was more overwhelming than it should've been.
He didn't absolutely understand why he wanted to know you. Yet he understood that he simply did. His mind started to wonder over endless questions. What was your favorite color? Favorite food? Favorite subject? Had you had a boyfriend before? Or girlfriend?
Did you have a crush? Him maybe? Did you think he was pretty like he thought you were?
The possibilities of what could've been going through his head was endless. Yet if he was going to compete against Bokuto, his chances of winning were slim. Especially if it got to the point of violence. He may easily win against Bokuto when it came to intelligence. Yet in strength, he was wildly outmatched. In persistence, he could assume that he was in line with Bokuto. While Bokuto could get lost sometimes and discouraged. When he got back to his feet he was a force to be reckoned with.
Plus. A small feeling could tell him that Bokuto was definitely not going to be the only obstacle he had to deal with.
Whether it be a person, or class, or anything else. There was going to be something, someone who would get in his way. But that's okay,
because people... objects.. classes... they can all be taken care of. If the easy way didn't work, violence could always be taken into consideration.
Violence wasn't a solution. It was an option to any situation and sometimes it was easier to be the answer.
