Loki slowly began walking back down the beach. He bit his lip as he saw Bucky. He looked down at his feet. He got behind the rocks once again and took a deep breath. "Bucky..." He called out a bit unsure, but loudly.

Bucky's head perked up when he heard Loki's voice. He felt his heart soar back into place, "Loki? Where are you?"

"Behind the rocks..." Loki answered. He realized his Jotun form was fading away. He sighed. He couldn't face Bucky now looking like the monster he is. He watched as his skin turned back to its pale color. He stepped out and raised an eyebrow when he realized Bucky looked hurt. "Bucky?"

Bucky felt tears threatening to roll down his cheeks, "Where did you go?"

"Just for a walk..." Loki said and looked down.

"Why?" Bucky asked with a sad look in his eyes.

Loki shook his head in response. He couldn't tell him...

Bucky frowned, "Did I do something?" He slowly got to his feet. There was at least four feet of sand between them.

"No." Loki simply answered.

"You just left... I didn't know why..." Bucky muttered.

"I know, I'm sorry." Loki apologized, but knew from the sound in Bucky's voice that he wasn't really happy at all.

Bucky sighed, "It's my fault and I know it. You don't have to apologize."

"No, it's not your fault. You did nothing wrong." Loki assured him. He knew this was getting nowhere.

Bucky forced a laugh, "Then why did you leave me here on the beach like you did? You didn't even answer me when I asked you why you were going..." He narrowed his eyes.

"You need to calm down..." Loki said. He knew Bucky was emotional. He had a tendency to go from sad to angry really fast. He still wasn't completely stable...

Bucky shook his head, "I feel like you're hiding something from me."

"I'm not hiding anything, Bucky." Loki told him, keeping his voice calm.

"There's something you're not telling me." Bucky grumbled. "If it wasn't something I did, then why did you go rushing away from me?"

"I just wanted to be to my own thoughts..." Loki explained, but he knew Bucky was onto him.

He scowled, "Why don't I believe you?"

"Alright. You want to know why I left!?" Loki rose his voice. In an instant, he let himself turn into his Jotun form.

Bucky's eyes widened. His jaw dropped, "Loki..." He breathed out in shock.

"This is why I left. I felt it coming on and I took off." Loki looked down at himself. He felt his heart racing in his chest, "I've been hiding this form from you ever since we met because I thought you'd think I was a freak." He was frantic now. He felt tears welling up in his eyes, "Go on. Tell me I'm a monster, because I know it's the truth..."

All Bucky did was slowly smile, "Loki, I don't think you're a monster." He stepped towards him. He noticed Loki had slightly grown taller, "You are beautiful." He mumbled and took Loki's hand with his metal hand. A gentle frost coated Bucky's hand and he smiled, "I could never push you away..." He said as he looked up at the slightly taller Loki. He didn't care if Loki had red eyes and blue skin. He was still perfect in Bucky's eyes.

Loki was speechless. He felt himself turn back into his normal form and h bit his lip, looking down. He mumbled, "I'm sorry for hiding it from you..."
