Bucky woke up the next morning to find Loki sitting up on the bed, smiling down at him, "Good morning, Winter."

"Good morning." Bucky said behind a yawn. He kissed Loki's cheek after he sat up. He put his head against Loki's shoulder and grinned. Bucky bit his lip and looked down.

Loki wasn't the only one that had been hiding something. Bucky had been planning to ask Loki to marry him sometime soon. He knew they hadn't been together for too long, but he was pretty positive Loki was the one for him. He could tell from the butterflies he got in his stomach every time they were around each other. He had already gotten the ring, too. He had gathered up some money he had earned from SHIELD in the past year and went and stopped by a jewelry store near HQ before heading home a couple weeks ago. Loki still hadn't found it, course Bucky didn't tell him to look. He looked at Loki and mumbled, "I love you."

Loki smirked slightly, "Prove it."

Bucky didn't hesitate. He immediately leaned in and kissed him. His hands clutched at the chest of Loki's shirt before he broke away. He raised an eyebrow.

"Damn... Proved your point..." Loki half-mumbled against Bucky's lips.

Bucky chuckled before placing another kiss on the trickster's lips. He held Loki close, trapping him in his arms. He felt Loki's lips press back against his and he shuddered slightly.

Loki broke away for air. He smiled at Bucky and put a hand on his cheek, "I love you, too."

Bucky rolled his eyes and laughed, "I'd hope so."

"You know how I feel about you." Loki said and took his metal hand.

Bucky made eye contact with the trickster, "Forever and always. I know." He couldn't help but smile, "I promise, I feel the exact same way."

Loki grinned, "Good." He slowly made his way out of Bucky's embrace, "I'll go get a shower." He went to get out of bed, but felt arms wrapped around him once again. He sighed, "Barnes..." Loki looked over his shoulder, "What's gotten into y-"

Bucky had instantly silenced him with a kiss. He grinned against Loki's lips before pulling away, "I don't know what you mean."

Loki rolled his eyes and turned slightly. He laughed, "Like I said, I'm going to go take a shower." He said before getting up, grabbing clothes, and heading out the door. "I'll make you breakfast when I get out." Loki called as he headed down the steps.

Bucky bit his lip. He got out of bed and opened the drawer to his nightstand. He picked up the small black ring box and smiled. He opened it up and looked at the small silver ring and felt his heart beat a little faster. He was nervous, but he knew what he wanted to do. He was positive of it. Bucky closed the box. He put it back in the drawer and grinned.

Bucky grabbed a quick shower after Loki got his and stepped out of the bathroom. He walked over to Loki as he cooked pancakes. He smiled and got them both cups of coffee and sat them down on the table to cool. He made his way over to Loki and kissed his cheek as he moved the pancakes onto plates, "Thanks for cooking for me. I'd probably burn the place down if I wasn't careful."

"I don't doubt you on that one." Loki smiled over at Bucky.

Bucky laughed slightly. He took both plates for Loki and sat them down at the table. He grinned, "You've changed a lot since your first morning here."

Loki smiled, "That is true." Loki's first morning at Bucky's began with him waking up on the couch and yelling at Barnes to wake up. After Bucky came downstairs, Loki would just glare and roll his eyes at him while he attempted to make him breakfast. After Bucky continued to fail miserably, he took over completely. A lot had changed since then. Loki learned to appreciate the effort made by Bucky that first morning, while Bucky learned to not even try to cook.
