12.5. Rain

5:24 AM,

[[Tommy's POV]]

     Why did I do it? It all felt like a dream, I wish it was. I punch the wall, kicked trash cans around. Toby was right, that was all we had. We were all we had. I slumped down and thought what I could do. Then it came to me,

Phil.

[[Toby's POV]]

     The apartment only had a few pieces of the structure still standing, I didn't know what to do. All of our stuff is ruined or burnt. I sat on the sidewalk, facing away from the ruins. 

     Dark dots started to litter the sidewalk, rain. It'd be a smart idea to head to Phil's..

6:01 AM,

I had finally made it to Phil's, the rain was still sprinkling but it was getting heavier. I knocked on the door to Phil and Kristen's house. Hopefully their awake.., I thought as Mumza opened the door. "Hello Toby! What brings you here so early? Are you okay?" I gave my best fake smile, "I'm.. alright. Some things happened and you and Phil were my first thought. I don't mean to introude." "It's alright honey. Tommy is here too, actually. So come on in!" I held my breath, shit.

[[Rylan's POV]]

5:45 Am, 

     I don't know where I am, I've never been here before. So many people.. the buildings are huge. I might throw up, why did i have to go alone..?  I peared past the crowd's heads, people's arms bumping into me occasionally. I took a deep breath, I can't handle big spaces with so much people. 

     Maybe Phil or someone can come pick me up? I got closer to the wall's of the buildings and pulled my phone out. I tried to turn it on, dead. Perfect. [[bingo bonga im basic lol]]. I looked around for a payphone, then remembering I don't know Phil's number. I rubbed my face, well the mask and glasses. I felt a splash of water hit me, I took a deep breath. I've never done well with any form of water. I looked around, hoping to find something to cover me. Nothing, of cource. 

     I forced myself to continue walking, spite the rain and crowd. I felt myself bump into someone, "Heh?" The person said. I jumped back, "I am so sorry, I should have been watching where I was go- uh, Technoblade?" The slightlt shorter man looked up at me, "Oh, hello Rylan. What are you doing out here?," he said in his monotone voice. "Well uh- I'm kinda, lost," I spat out, choking back on tears of embaressment. 

     He raised an eyebrow, "Okay.. how did you even get out here? You can't drive, and your a long way from your apartment." I looked away, my tears trying to escape, stupid estergon [[for anyone who doesnt know what that is, its the female chemical? someone plz explain it in the comments.]] "It's a long story." "Alright, and you can tell it, if you want, while I drive you home." "That's the thing," he looked at me, obviously confused, "the apartment isn't standing anymore."

[[Tommy's POV]]

     I looked away from Toby as he sat down on the couch, "I have to go get ready for work so just make yourselves at home!," Mumza said brightly.

     She left the room, it's just Toby, silence, and I. Taking a deep breath, "I-," I paused, "I.. I apologize for what I did, I over reacted and went to far. I didn't mean any of the things I said..," I said looking at Toby. He stared at me, blinked, "I forgive you. I can't be mad at you forever, your my best friend," he said with a sad smile, "but we need to find a way to get house. We can't live here, and we can't live on the streets."

     "Yeah, we should talk to Ry-" a loud boom of thunder interupted me. "Speaking of Rylan..." Toby spoke up, "he must be terrified." I nodded, "As I was saying, we should wait to talk to Rylan about the situation." "Seems reasonable," Toby stated.

[[Rylan's POV]]

     A loud crack of thunder clashed, my hands went straight to my ears to block the noise out. The rain started to pour down harder, I moved closer to Mr. Blade [[here we go again besties]]. He looked at me, "Don't like the rain?" I nodded. "Ah, sorry about that." I could tell he didn't know what else to say. "Well, your lucky I drove my car and not my motorcycle." "Aha, yeah."

     As we hurried to the car, the rain came down harder. I was drenched and uncomfortable. Looking down at the ground I realized, I wasn't wearing a hoodie. Just a T-shirt.

And no binder.

     I quickly tried to cover my chest the best I could, it was no help. We made it to the car, the older man unlocked the vehicle. I opened the door and quickly sat down. I shivered, i buckled my seat belt and went back to covering my chest. Mr. Blade looked over at me as he was starting the car, his eyes widened. He noticed, he looked away and thankfully didn't mention it. He turned on the wind sheild wipers and started to drive.

     We sat in silence for a while, I then spoke up, "You noticed, didn't you?" I mumbled, trying to stay as calm as possible. He let out a small sigh, "Yeah. I wasn't and wouldn't say anything." I looked at him, he was focused on the road. "Thank you for that." He nodded, silence covered the car once again.

     I felt myself start to doze off, I haven't slept in days. 

[[Technoblade's POV]]

     I glanced over, the kid had fallen asleep. I decided that I'd just take him back to my place due to Phil and Kristen having to work. 

At Techno's house

     I shut the car off, opened the door, and stepped out. The rain had stopped a bit, I walked to the other side of the car and opened the passenger door. I unbuckled Rylan's seat belt and managed to pick the lanky boy out of the car, being surprisingly light for his age and height. 

     I carfully carried him to the front door. I struggled to find my house key but I managed, I unlocked the door and walked inside. I set Rylan down on the couch and placed a blanket over him. I sighed, I put my keys away and pulled my phone out. I went to Tommy's contact and sent him a message saying that Rylan was here.
