Darby's POV
"What? No way! I'm not coming with you!" I yell at the man. His face stays emotionless, and I turn to run away from him. I start sprinting as fast as I can. And remember, I'm not an athlete. The man easily catches up to me and grabs the back of my hoodie. I'm yanked back and my hands are pulled behind my back. I feel a rope being tied around my wrists, and before I can yell for help, a cloth is put in my mouth as a gag. Unluckily for me, I can open my mouth enough to talk normally but not enough to yell for help. The man throws me over his shoulder, and I kick and thrash, trying to escape. Conveniently, my feet are draped over the front of his body, and when I'm in the middle of kicking, I manage to kick where the sun doesn't shine. But, there's the sound of hollow metal being hit and a rush of pain swarms my foot.
"Ow! Ow ow ow ow!" I yelp. Either there's something not normal about this guy, or he's wearing some sort of armor. I didn't know kidnappers wore those. The pain continues to throb in my foot and I clench my jaw.
"Who are you? Kraang? What kind of name is that?" I ask the guy rudely. There's no answer and I roll my eyes.
"Look, dude, if you're gonna kidnap me, at least answer my questions." I say to him. Still no answer.
"The one known as Darby Manchester will remain quiet and not ask any more questions to Kraang." the man responded and I noticed his voice sounded kind of...robotic. Then it hit me. The metal sound, the robotic voice, the name. This was one of the Kraang bots, which April told me briefly about. They're aliens trying to invade the world and the turtles are constantly attacking them and destroying their weapons and ships from their dimension, Dimension X.
"Oh no. Oh no, oh no." I murmur under my breath. I'm being kidnapped by alien robots. They're gonna kill me. Or experiment on me. Or...or....something else really terrible. The Kraang bot keeps walking until we get to a white van. He pulls me off his shoulder and throws me into the van. I land hard on my butt and cry out in pain, tears springing to my eyes. I sit up and try stand, but the Kraang bot must've thrown me pretty hard, because my legs turn to jelly and I fall back down. I sit down and wait for the feeling in my legs to come back, then I stand up shakily. Now that I'm alone, I can lift my hands enough to pull the gag out of my mouth, and it falls down to hang around my neck. I run over to the van doors and try to push them open.
"No luck. That stupid robot didn't leave them unlocked." I mumble to myself. I try over and over to open the doors by ramming my shoulder into the doors, but eventually my shoulder starts to become sore. I sit back on the floor and try to lift my bound wrists up to rub at my shoulder, but I can't reach. Realizing I'm out of options for escape, I lean my head back against one of the cold walls of the van and let the tears escape down my cheeks. As the van keeps driving to who knows where, I pray that someone realizes I'm missing and comes looking for me.
"I'd even be grateful if the turtles or April showed up." I say as I close my eyes, letting exhaustion take over and lull me into a deep sleep.
Wow, I'm so sorry I haven't worked on this story recently. I just got back from vacation a couple days ago, and I didn't really have time to update on my trip. But now I'm back with more chapters in store! ~Marissa
