"mum, what happened to you and dad?" I asked her as I got into my bed. She came and joined me by sitting at the end of my bed.
"We went for a walk and when we went we met my friend, Jane. Your dad had a bit much to drink and we couldn't get home. By the time we got home we heard that you had been taken into care. We tried to track you down but we just got told that you had been moved into someone's house. We never stopped looking for you I promised. "
After that I said good night to her then fell asleep and thought about the fact that I had been told about the animals. I thought about who had told me about the animals. As hard as I tried to remember I couldn't. I thought about my new friend and how relieved I was that my parents were alive.
