                       Chapter 15: Our Spot

The school bell rang as the students poured out of their classrooms. Nate and Archie being the goons they were, we're running down the halls seeing how many roofs they could touch by jumping. Most of the girls found it so hot how they could jump so high, not missing the chance to take a peak at their stomachs as their shirts rode up from the jumps. It was something teenage girls did—or rather, something Veronica and Betty did as they watched their man candy act like children for everyone to see.

Over at the locker, away from the exhausting show the boys were giving, Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica stood at their lockers "Like I said, he looks like a fucking man-child." Veronica whispered, watching Archie stuff his face. "I still don't see why you're always hanging out with him, I mean, he's cool and all but seriously V. If you don't find a better man for prom I promise you you're gonna be walking on stage covered in barbecue sauce." Betty  loses her locker, leaning against the cool metal. She had her
eyes out for the schools newspaper writer.

She thought he was super sweet and he had the
nicest face anyone could ever see.

She thought she could ask him to go with her. But, somewhere in her heart, she knew Veronica wouldn't let her hear the end of it if she wanted to go with someone other than Nate—whom she had set her up
                     with the week before.

"I know he's a slob, and he eats off the ground sometimes. But, cut me some slack. I'm literally sleeping with the quarterback who's family is like crazy perfect and happy. I mean, he has a dog." Veronica whispered. "As if that makes it better." Cheryl snickered. Veronica crossed her arms, Cheryl had noticed her change In posture, resorting to closing her mouth. "Who are you sleeping with?"

                                    "Me?"

    "I don't see anyone else here who's a virgin."

"But, I'm a virgin Veronica." Betty spoke up. Veronicas hand came up in front of her face, silently telling her to shut up. Betty sighed, taking a step back from Veronica. "I asked you a question."

"You know I'm not sleeping with anyone."

"Then, if you have nothing to give, and no one to sleep with, what's your point of even having a say in this conversation, blossom. If you can't shut up and stand in the back and agree, don't talk at all. I'm only talking to you because you're hot shit around here. If you weren't I'd still be bullying you for chem answers. Don't think you're some saint, cause you're still a nobody who so happens to have changed to contacts instead of those tacky sunglass things."

Just as Veronica was about to step closer to Cheryl, the bell had gone off. Betty growing uncomfortable at the scene in front of her, tapped Veronica's shoulder, easing her back and away from Cheryl.

                         "V, we've gotta go."
Veronica peaked over her shoulder as Betty moved her hand from her arm. "This isn't over Blossom." She said, taking her bag from Betty's hands. "Let's go." Just like that, Betty followed Veronica off as if she were a puppy, with the smell of meat on her breath. It was pathetic really. Betty had a life of her own. She didn't realize that she could actually be something more than a sidekick to Veronica. I mean, the girl was beautiful yes, but she had the personality
of Republican, and the mouth of a trucker.

She wouldn't be anything if it weren't for her
               sleeping with Archie Andrews.

"Looks like you two are best friends."

Cheryl's breath got stuck in her throat, she hunched over coughing. She would have fallen over if it weren't for the lockers in front of her that supported her. She held her chest as she looked up from the ground—her vision wasn't blurry but she was sure
that she would have had a heart attack.
