Chapter 7: Family matters?
After that day Cheryl had worked on gaining her parents trust. She got out of bed really early and clean up her room. She went downstairs and tidied up the living room, Jason's room since he wasn't there, define read the book case where all her ''baby'' books were. Clifford blossom not expecting this walked downstairs. "Hey sweetheart." He said sitting down on the couch. Cheryl looking up with a smile on her face say "Uhhh, hi" she didn't know what she was supposed to say he was mad at her.

"Umm, Daddy can I ask you something?" Cheryl said nervously. "Anything you want princess." He said motioning for Cheryl to sit on his lap. "I don't think so Daddy." She said sitting on the couch next to him. He was confused why didn't she want to stay with him. "Daddy I think-" she took a deep breath. "Daddy I know what I said hurt you. I know it was rude and so uncalled for.I know you've been trying since day one of you a perfect father and I am the second kick so I know it's a lot harder than the first. I apologize for being ungrateful, disobedient, and lastly I apologize for being disrespectful to you and to Mommy." Cheryl said looking down embarrassed.

"You know the fact that you apologize even though me and your mother were wrong shows me what beautiful and educated young lady you are. If it were Jason he would have never apologized right or wrong. I love you princess I'll always Love you, what you said did hurt me but it'll never change the way I feel about you. You're my daughter you're my baby I love you I will always love you." He said hugging her.

A hug! All she had ever wanted was a hug since the day she was born. All she wanted was to be loved the way Jason was loved. All she wanted was a family. A real family.

The Next Day

After her amazing day with her father Cheryl had decided that she would work two extra shifts at the bookstore for him. Ring!! The Bell on the door chimed. "Welcome to the bucket of books, how may I help you?" Cheryl said happily. At this point nothing could bring her down, she felt as if she was invincible,unstoppable, and possibly on cloud nine.

"Its uh me." Toni whispered. Cheryl held her head up usually it was her,The quiet ones the one he never spoke to one who is too big of a baby to talk. "TT what are you doing here?" Cheryl asked. "I'm sorry." She whispered. "What did you say?" Cheryl said coming from behind the counter to be face to face with her. "I said I'm sorry, I haven't noticed that you were upset. If I would have known I wouldn't have been "funny". I didn't mean it and you know that. I totally understand if you don't wanna hang out with me or-"

Cheryl hugged her. "Just shut up and hug me please." She said pushing her head closer to Toni's heart. Toni wrapping her arms around Cheryl enjoyed the warmth that her body and heart felt as she held the smaller girl. "I enjoy being around you, it's like when I'm with you my body wakes up,like it just knows what it wants--who it wants." Toni said placing her head on top of Cheryl's. "Toni?" She said gripping her shirt tightly. "Hmmm?" Toni hummed. "I'm sorry for yelling at you. I didn't mean to. It was rude. Please forgive me?" She said sniffling.

"Cherbear, a-are you crying?" Toni asked pulling back slightly. She was just in time to see Cheryl's puffy red face. "Baby no." She said wiping her tears. "Don't cry." She said kissing her forehead. "It's gonna be ok. You didn't hurt my feelings, I felt a little hurt but I'm not gonna die because you yelled at me. I forgive, and as long as your adorable I'll always forgive you." She said smiling. Cheryl nodded. "Now I have a question." Toni said grabbing Cheryl's hand and dragging her back to her place behind the counter.

Cheryl wiping her nose looked up. "What's that?" She said looking at Toni's hand. "Good things come to those who wait." She said smiling. "Come on, what is it?" Cheryl asked again. "Ok, come 'ere." She said sitting down on the floor. Cheryl came around the counter. "It's dirty down there." She said looking confused. "That's ok you can sit on my lap princess. Wouldn't want you to mess up that cute outfit." Toni said smiling. "Bu-" "Sit down princess." Toni said gesturing to her lap.

Cheryl sat down on her lap. "What are we doing?" She said looking at Toni. "Ok, so you know how when I was "babysitting" you that one day you told me about you being a little." Cheryl blushed a little while nodding. "Yes but wha-" "Don't interrupt me cutie" She said kissing her cheek. (She secretly knows that's Cheryl's weakness) "I got you something." She said taking her arm from being her back showing Cheryl the box. Cheryl started to bounce. "You got me a present!" She said hugging Toni.

"Hug me after you open it princess." She said giggling. Cheryl nodded taking the box and opening it."A necklace!" She said smiling and clapping. "Not just any necklace, read what it says." Cheryl looked at her. "Princess Cheryl" she read aloud. "Thank you." "No problem, also your cheek are red honeybug." Toni said. Cheryl put her hands over her cheeks. "No." Toni said moving her hands. "It's cute, I like it. The fact that I'm the only one who can make you blush like that makes it even better." She said.

Cheryl giggled. "Can I kiss you princess?" Toni asked. Cheryl shook her head. "Why not?" Toni said holding her hand. "My daddy doesn't want me to." Cheryl whispered. "I don't see him anywhere." She said looking around to confirm what she had said. "I know but, I never disobey daddy. He's the only one thats really nice to me." Cheryl said looking down. Toni smiled taking her cheeks into her palms. "That's not true, I'm nice to you ,and you wanna know why?"
Toni said. Cheryl nodded. "Because you're the only person in this world that can make me feel like I'm truly whole. You light up my day even when it's been completely shit." Cheryl giggled.

"You said a bad word Toni." She smiled moving her face closer to the smaller girls. "I love you princess, more than anyone I've ever known." She said finally moving in to kiss her. Cheryl surprised but wrapped up in the moment kissed her back.

The thought kept ringing in her mind.....

"She loves me"
