"cold, cold" haneul whispered as she covered herself with a blanket. it was the next day and her mother went out to do some grocery shopping. haneul wanted to come but she is still feeling jet-lagged so she spends her day staying in bed while watching Netflix.
her stomach growled as she looked at the time, showing it's 1 PM and she hasn't eaten lunch yet. she made her way to the kitchen and completely forgot that food and snacks are still on the way. her stomach keeps growling as she groaned feeling hungry. waiting for her mother to arrive will makes her frustrated even more.
"guess i'll have to go out" haneul talked to herself. she would do anything for food anyway.
she then texted her mother saying she'll go out to the convenience store to buy some ramen and snacks. she wore her all-time favorite hoodie and slipped her Fila sandals as she made her way to the convenience store. fortunate for her that the store is near.
once she arrived, her eyes sparkled looking at the various snacks and drinks. grinning from ear to ear, she quickly picked the food that she wanted. "hmm what should i drink?" her eyes scanned the whole beverage section as her eyes landed on one thing, banana milk.
she quickly reached out her hand to grab the banana milk when her hand landed on someone's hand. she looked at the person who is grabbing the same banana milk as her and gasped a bit.
such cold eyes.
he has cold eyes.the boy stared back at her as he gave her a cold-unfriendly look. she frowned at him, showing that she is not intimidated by his stare. "i want this" the boy simply said. "i want this too cause i saw it first" she snapped. "well i grabbed it first" the boy fired back. this time she could not snap back since it's true what he said. the proof that her hand is actually on top of his, made him smirked in victory.
"you can have the strawberry one" he said before walking away to the cashier. haneul widened her eyes and scoffed, what a rude boy. with a pout, she grabbed the strawberry-flavored one and made her way to the cashier.
once she was done paying her stuff, she happily skipped her way back to the apartment. the image of her eating her beloved snacks while watching movies excites her. just when she exited the convenience store, a hand pulled her hoodie from the back making her stumble and let out an "eek" sound.
"yah, who the heck?" she turned around ready to scold whoever pulled her hoodie like that. to her surprise, it was the cold rude boy earlier. with a stern look on his face, he took a step closer and observe her. "are you new here?" he said. she was taken aback by his question and his close figure. "um yeah, why?" she said.
he said nothing as he stepped back and left. she stared at his figure that is slowly fading away. confuse at what just happened and what kind of conversation was that.
that was weird.
"well, at least i got my snacks" she shook the thoughts away and made her way back to her apartment.
"ah, my precious babies" she said to herself as she took out the stuff she just bought and placed them on the kitchen counter. "huh, what's this?" she took out the drinks and surprised to see that there's banana milk in it. she doesn't remember buying the banana milk since the rude boy bought the last one, but why does she have it?
little did she know, he secretly put his banana milk inside her bag at their last encounter without her realizing it.
cold eyes with a warm heart, ironic isn't it?
