1 month later

it's been a month since haneul saw his face. he just disappeared out of nowhere. she'd be lying if she said it doesn't bother her. it bothers her.

every day, she wonders where he'd go.
every day, she searches for him.
every day, she waits.

who knows? maybe she'll bump into him again. even though she just met him once, she'll never forget the feeling she felt that day. his big doe eyes that cast a spell whenever she looked at it, it was mesmerizing. his deep voice that is like music to her ears. his soft movement and talented hand that create beautiful sketches. and lastly his bunny smile, it's like healing to her.

she'll never forget anything about him.

you can say, she fell for him at first sight. she never thought she would experience the 'love at first sight' thing. usually, it only happens to Disney princesses or in fairytales. haneul never believed in fairytales, but now she does.

currently, she is at the park where he left her. where she had hope that finally, her life is going the way she wanted it to be. she sighed feeling stupid for having high hopes and expectations.

"hey, you okay?" said her new friend named suran. it's been 2 weeks since she attended her university in Seoul. with big courage, she made a few friends and fortunately, they are kind. they treated haneul nicely and helped her adapt to her new life in Korea since they knew haneul spent most of her life in New York.

"of course, never been better" haneul said. "hmm did you smell that?" suran gave her a suspicious look.

"what?"

"lies"

haneul rolled her eyes jokingly as suran chuckled a bit. "i know we just became friends for 2 weeks, but i can see that you're lying" suran hold her hand while giving an assuring look. "i'm here for you if you wanna talk".

"thank you for your concern really, but i'm okay" haneul sends her a small smile.

"i just wanna make sure you're happy, especially with all this new environment" suran said. haneul felt grateful that she found an amazing friend that is very kind-hearted and understanding. she gave her the biggest smile. "you know, i have a feeling we're gonna be great friends".

"so we're not right now?"

"that's not what i meant suran" haneul nudge her arm making suran giggled. "hey it's getting dark, wanna leave?" suran asked.

"sure, let's go to my place, you can hang out for a while right?" haneul asked while standing up, ready to leave the park. "yeah, it'll be my first time going to your apartment" suran excitedly said.

"and it'll be my first time inviting over a friend here"

"oh wow, should i say i'm honored?" suran joked. "yes you should, cause there's going to be a lot of snacks".

both of them have arrived at haneul's apartment and currently waiting for the elevator. haneul looked around the lobby, it's peaceful like usual. only a few people chilling while having a conversation with smiles on their faces. laughter fills the air.

she smiled because of how nice the atmosphere is. but that smile didn't last very long. her smile dropped and her eyes widened when she saw the boy she's been looking for. jeongguk.

he's standing outside, in front of the apartment building. his back is facing her, so she can't see his face. but it seems like he's waiting for someone. his head kept turning left and right, wondering the area as he turned around and finally met her gaze.

the world feels like slow-motion as they both locked into each other's eyes. nobody moved from their position. haneul can feel her heartbeat is getting faster and faster. she held her fist tighter as her feet are eager to walk up to him and asked him.
