her eyes never left his attractive figure, so does he. the funny thing is they didn't communicate with each other yet they can feel each other's feelings. they communicate with their eyes. she swore she saw a slight of guilt in his eyes but then covered with his cold gaze.
"why did you leave..."
"what? i never left" suran raised her eyebrow after hearing haneul's mumble. she broke eye contact with jeongguk and looked back at suran. "woah are you okay? why is your face red and why are you sweating so much?" suran asked.
haneul didn't know what to say since she never told anybody about the mysterious cold boy named jeongguk. she turned her gaze back to where he stood but he's gone. "no...where did he go?" she mumbled.
"hey the elevator's here, come on" suran said while making her way inside. haneul sighed sadly as they went inside the elevator that goes right up to haneul's apartment.
after a few hours of hanging out and eating 6 packs of ramen together, suran bid her goodbyes and left. the whole night, all haneul can think about is jeongguk. many questions filled her head. why he left her? why he disappeared for the whole month? where was he? does he dislike or hate her?
she shook her thoughts away and forced herself to sleep. but every time she closes her eyes, his face appeared. he lingers inside her head. their first encounter, conversations, jokes, and laughter, she can't forget about it.
"i guess i was enchanted to meet you" those words slipped out of her mouth as she finally drifted off to sleep.

it was the next day and haneul made her way to the university. putting her AirPods on, she got inside the subway and sat down. she yawned still feeling sleepy as she opened the camera app and gasped at how puffy her face looks.
"ah, this is all because of 6 packs of ramen" she chuckled. putting her phone down, she scanned her surroundings and smiled when she spotted a little kid staring at her with his big eyes. haneul waved at him, making him smile. she then started to make funny faces as his giggles fill the air.
but then another deep chuckle can be heard and it surprises her. she turned her gaze to where that chuckle belongs to. it's a boy. he is wearing a black hoodie, skinny jeans, and timberlands. wait those timberlands.
she remembered she had seen those timberlands shoes. it was his.
"jeongguk?" she whispered but loud enough for him to hear. even though his back is now facing her, she is sure that it is jeongguk. the subway then stopped as the boy immediately left the subway and dashed away.
maybe it wasn't him. haneul mentally slapped herself for thinking it was him. "i'm seeing him everywhere now" she said while shaking her head.

"hey, let's ditch class"
"daniel, it's our first class of the day"
"exactly, i know both of you won't listen to accounting anyway"
suran smacked daniel's head with her pencil case as haneul shook her head. the three of them have been good friends and basically inseparable. again, haneul felt grateful for having good friends here. and honestly, she wishes she could be friends with jeongguk too.
a few seconds later, the door opened. haneul straighten her back ready to start the class while thinking it was the professor, but no.
it's him. it's really him. jeongguk. he is wearing a black hoodie, skinny jeans, and timberlands. "wait, so it was him?" haneul said to herself, still surprised.
wait, so he is in this university?! and mostly we have the same major?!
her eyes followed his figure that goes to the back of the room. his hood covering much of his face as he sat down, looking down. she can only see his dark brown bangs. he doesn't see her yet and it made her heart race.
students started to whisper as some of them stare at jeongguk. from the look of their faces, it wasn't good. haneul wonder what they were talking about so she decided to ask her friends.
"hey, do you guys know that dude over there?" haneul secretly pointed at jeongguk.
they both looked at whom she pointed as suran widened her eyes. "that's jeon jeongguk, believe me, he's no good" suran coldly said.
"why? he looks nice"
"haneul, promise me you won't go near him okay?" well guess it's too late for that.
"what's wrong with him? tell me"
suran sighed in defeat, knowing haneul will keep attacking her with questions. "we call him the mute boy since he never spoke with anyone. he's always alone and always went to the rooftop at break times" suran said.
funny, a month ago she and him spent the whole evening together, talking.
"well, has anyone tried talking to him? try to make friends?" daniel and suran laughed at her question. it made her confused as she raised her eyebrow. "what's so funny? i'm being serious" haneul hissed.
suran's gaze darkened as she carefully whispered. "everyone who had contact with him, always ends badly. trust me, you don't wanna"
