"I'm sorry Seungmin, but I'm already dating Jisung. I don't plan on breaking up with him any time soon." Minho responded. He feels bad for rejecting, but it's a true fact.

"It's alright, I already expected the answer. I had to get my feelings off my chest, thus leading to this confession-" Seungmin explain, tears welling up and was cut off by his crush abruptly.

"No, let me explain. This isn't what you think it is! We can still continue being friends.." Minho explained hurriedly.

"No, it's okay, it really is. I don't blame you for rejecting me, but instead I blame myself for falling in love with you in the first place." Seungmin replied, covering his sadness with a smile. He was prepared for the worst outcome.

As much he would love to continue their frienship, he was afraid the more time they spend together, it would cause his feelings to grow deeper, making it more difficult than it already is. Distancing him was the only best way to cope, or so he thought.

"I'll be heading back now, I still have choir practice to attend. I hope Jisung and you will have a long-lasting happy relationship." Seungmin shouted hurriedly, already on his way back.

Wait, Seung-min..." Minho tried calling for him, but he was already out of sight.

Out of all the confession he've gotten before, this was one he never expected. Even though Minho only saw Seungmin as a friend, but that doesn't mean he felt guilty for rejecting an innocent being. He had seen Seungmin only hanging out with Felix most of the time, how he ate and worked alone. It was as if he doesn't exist, no one paid attention to him.

Seungmin headed back to the classroom with heavy dull footsteps, taking out his phone to contact Felix. He needed comfort first and foremost and his best friend was the only person he could think of, "Hey Felix, are you free now?" Seungmin asked, trying to sound cheerful, despite the tears threatening to spill.

"Yeah, finished everything for today. How did the confession go?" Felix asked. He's aware something is wrong, but decided not to bring it up. They've been friends for years after all.

"Can I go to your house now? I'll tell you what happened when I reach there." Seungmin asked, direct to the point, picking up his bag and slipping it over his shoulders.

"Sure, I'll leave the door unlock for you. I'll be up in my room. My parents will be home late tonight, so you better spill the tea in details." Felix responded nonchalantly.

"Thanks, I'll be there in 10.." Seungmin muttered, hanging up the call soon after and started his way to the sunshine's house.

As he stated, he reached within 10 minutes, or maybe quicker. He entered the house and headed to the room, before tackling his friend in a big hug, who was scrolling through his phone.

"Oof- Be careful" Felix called out, surprised by the sudden impact that came flying out of nowhere. After realising it was Seungmin, he returned the hug and pat his back rhythmically.

The gentle touch made Seungmin's tears gush down his cheeks. He could no longer hold the heartbreak, thinking back made his throat tighten and shortness of breath. He is aware that this is going to happen sooner or later, but was never prepared enough for it.

"What happened? Was it the confession, did he reject you?" Felix questioned, worry filled his eyes. Having been friends with Seungmin for many years, it's very rare for him to cry this hard, since he is the type of person who rather resolve the issue by himself. Not to say, Seungmin wasn't one who provide skin contact first, so the hug surely surprised him.

Seungmin tried speaking, but words got caught in his throat, not allowing him to speak properly, "Min-Minho.. rejected. T-Too.. Much.. Pain..." was all he managed to get out, before bursting into another crying fit, hiding his face in Felix's shoulder and wetting his clothes unintentionally.

"It's alright, Min. Cry it all out, you don't have to bear all this pain by yourself. It's not your fault for falling for him, neither is his. It was fate that allowed you to have feelings at the wrong time." Felix tried reassuring him, whispering nice things to stop the negative emotion.

"I u-understand and a-accept his rejection, but I still f-feel hurt and s-sad.." Seungmin tried explaining through the crying mess.

"Let's get some sleep and we'll talk about this after you wake up." Felix suggested, getting out of the hug and guiding the both of them to the bed nearby. Seungmin nodded mutely, he knows he isnt getting away easily without an explanation. But for now, he needs his energy back and thus, he drifted off to dreamland in merely a few minutes.

When he woke up once again, Felix wasn't beside him anymore, instead he could smell the aroma coming from downstairs, hinting that he's probably cooking up dinner. Remembering back to what happened yesterday makes him want to tear up again, if it's not for him blinking back tears and reminding that he still have others.

He went downstairs and was right. In front stood Felix cooking a simple fried rice, as they haven't eaten for hours. He walked up to Felix and tapped his shoulders lightly, "Hey Felix.." He mummer, yawning slightly and rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Ohh Minnie! Did you have a good sleep? Dinner's almost ready, so go sit down." Felix stated, motioning him to settle down on the table, before returning to the pan.

"I did, thanks to you, sorry for disturbing you yesterday.. You were the first person that came to mind hehe." He said, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Nahh, I didn't mind it. You're my best friend, of course I had to help you." Felix shouted, pouting sulkily as he stared at his friend who got his heart broken on the previous day. Even though he already have a boyfriend and is proud of it, there's still no way he's leaving Seungmin alone to deal with his feelings alone, especially when he called. How rude would that be.

Seungmin grinned, as Felix placed their dinner on the table and dig in. "Minnie, tell me evewything happened dvring the confession. I wan' hewp yo.." Lix suddenly said, mouth fully stuffed with rice, which normal people wouldn't understand, not for Minnie though.

"Yeah, I'll tell you. But swallow your food first before you speak, it's bad manners. You're lucky I understand what you're saying after being friends with you for so long." Seungmin retorted, to which Felix replied with 'Yah', allowing laughter to erupt and cover the silence.

Soon after, they finished their meal and are now settled back in Lix room. Seungmin fiddled slightly before opening his mouth, "Minho rejected me, when I confessed to him after school-"

"Isn't that too be expected, since he is already dating?" Lix cuts him off. If it was anyone else, there would probably be bloodsheds everywhere, but since it was Minnie, there was no war.

"Let me finish, the main point was that I rejected his offer to return back to friends. I know it was dumb, but it'll probably be hard for me to forget my feelings if we remain as friends.." Seungmin said, before taking a deep breath before continuing, "Maybe I was the one who is in the wrong. I disturbed him for so long, but I forgot the most important thing, that it doesn't affect him, even when I'm gone.."

"Minnie... It's alright. You might have done the right thing. I just hope you won't regret it in the future. But I'll support your decision." Lix stated, holding Seungmin's hands in his and meeting his eyes, smiling brightly but sadly.

"Do you want to stay the night? I don't think your parents will mind much, since our parents know each other, after all." Felix questioned him, since it was pretty late and dark outside.

"It's alright. I do appreciate the offer, but I'll head home for today. Thanks for helping me, Lixie. I don't know what I would do without you around." Seungmin said, giving him one last hug and bidding him goodbye.

Just when Seungmin the day couldn't get any worse, he didn't know something no one expected was going to happen and ruin his life...
