Chapter 3

A black car came speeding towards Seungmin at an alarming speed, right as he stepped out the house, flaring bright headlights blinding the surrounding in an instance. Seungmin's body tensed and felt as his feet was glued to the ground, unable to move.

He tried running, but his body wasn't listening to his command and the words of help got caught in his throat. Before he could come up with a solution from this mess, the car crash into him and threw him back several metres, leave several severe injuries. Realising what happened, the driver panicked and immediately left, not without giving a second glance.

Felix who heard a loud crash, while tidying their remains from dinner immediately came running out. He noticed a car zoomed past him and the sign gave him a bad feeling, which he was indeed right. Turning back, he sees his best friend laying on a pool of blood, not moving and a pale face, signalling the draining loss of blood from his face.

He carried Seungmin onto the nearby pavement and manoeuvred him on the lap to check on the pulse, making sure there was at least a slight heartbeat available. After feeling a faint beating pulse, he breath a sigh of relief and fished out his phone from his front pocket and called the ambulance, along with the police, in hopes that they would reach as soon as possible. He is definitely not letting Seungmin, just because of a failed confession.

"Lix..." He heard Seungmin whispered weakly.

"Minnie, dont talk. The ambulance will come soon, you can't die on me now" He said with an equally soft voice, hugging Seungmin lightly, careful not to worsen the injuries. Seeing his best friend in this condition made him on the verge of crying.

Half hour later, the ambulance and polices finally arrived. They placed Seungmin on a stretcher and carried him up the vehicle carefully, as the police interviews Felix about details of the incident. Felix answered with the information that he knew, including showing the car plate number evidence that he took before the car left his sight.

The time it took went by in a flash, before they were off on the road, sirens blaring boomingly, in hopes that the young male could get through it successfully. Upon reaching his room, Felix hesitantly called Minho, as he was one of the people who didn't ignore Seungmin and treated him like he is an invisible air.

"Hello?" Minho greeted, stifling a yawn.

"Hey Minho. This is Felix, Seungmin's friend." Felix introduces himself.

"Ohh, I remember u. I often see you two together all the time. Did something happened?" Minho asked, getting more curious as to why Felix would call him out of the blue.

"Yeah... That's the main reason why I called. It's about Seungmin..."

"What happened to him?!" Minho grip on his phone tightened and his face paled.

"He got into a car accident just now and is now on the way to the hospital, but the incident details and criminal is still under investigation."

"...Which hospital is he being brought to?!" Minho heartbeat quicken.

"Seoul National University Hospital." Felix replied, not hesitating one bit.

"Okay, thanks Felix. I really owe you this." Minho thanked him, before hanging up and texting Chan to give him a ride. He was in no mood to drive right now.

Minho slid down the wall slowly, covering his face with his hands and hiding it between his knees. All this pain is making him regret for rejecting Seungmin, as maybe if he accepted the proposal, things wouldn't have resulted in this misery.
