The War Faerie

chapter three

She went back to the mortal world and into the shed, she transformed into the uncomfortable human form that she hated so much! She had long knotty brown hair, she was wearing baggy blue jeans, a red hoodie and her torn, white sneakers which her parents gave her.

She ran back to her grandparents' house; her cheeks were red with tears. She slid through the back door. But as soon as she entered the room and walked slowly but the lights switched on, Granda was sitting on his Barcalounger. He had his night gown on. He also had a frown on his face. "CHARLOTTE! WHAT WERE YOU DOING OUTSIDE AT 4:30AM?!" Granda exclaimed with his face red with anger. Charlotte did not expect him to be awake. She then said in a quiet voice whilst she was fidgeting with her feet and looking at the ground "Umm, well I was with Max. We were at the library, you know, studying for exams." But Granda didn't believe her, so he told her that until she tells the truth she's grounded.

She went running to her room and slammed the door behind her. Charlotte wanted to tell her grandparents but that would be dangerous for them and for Liadan, she made a law that if a mortal knows about the faerie realm, she would have them kiled. Also if a faerie told them or somehow gave them a clue she would kill them herself, and Liadan is creative when she wants to kill a faerie.

She went running to her room and slammed the door shut.

When she entered her room she went to close the blinds next to her window and locked the door. Exactly before she was going to transform into a faerie... Luna appeared out of nowhere.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN THE CAVE?! As soon as you left crying!" Luna exclaimed. Charlotte rolled her eyes because he always cries when something doesn't go his way. Luna ignored her. She knew that Charlotte was being a drama queen. Charlotte knew that she knew but she wanted to be like she didn't care.

They heard a knock on the door, a slow, gentle one. Luna flew through the window, but she was still watching from a bush. Charlotte went to the door and opened it. There was Granda. He looked so tired, he was in his brown dressing gown that he got for $4. His hair was very very messy and his big bushy beard. Charlotte made a sign so he can enter her room. "Why were you out at that hour?! You know you have a curfew! Just please tell me that you didn't go into the shed?!" asked Granda. She had now been a year at her grandparents, but her stuff was still in boxes. She didn't want to admit that Ashcroft was her home!

The next day she went to school, she went with her best friend Max. Max didn't know about the faerie world, Charlotte wanted to tell her but of course she couldn't although she was putting clues everywhere for her to find out. She talked to Luna and told her about Max, and she liked the plan very much.

They all went to school together, but Luna was a year younger. But in Ashcroft there were two schools, one for faeries and one for normal kids. Max would think that Luna and Charlotte went to a different school because her school was filed up.

They went their separate ways, then Luna and Charlotte went into this small building, outside it looked all old and rusty and well small, but when they entered it was huge and it was so modern and full of tech. Everyone in the "school" was greeting them. Now let's just discover why this school was there.

The school is called Alfea School for Faeries. The school was built in this island of phoenixes, it was protected by the powers of the phoenixes, that "school" was a place where young faeries could learn about the evil that Liadan and that its wrong, they also taught them how to fight. Luna and Charlotte's teacher was the best fighter, her name was Zelda. She was very strict with them but only because their group was the best. They went to school, they entered a class, there was a big sign saying "TRANSFORMATION". There was a professor, she wore a green cape and a big pointy green hat, she had big round glasses, she was blonde, and her hair was tied in a low bun.

"Good morning Professor Tremblay" said Luna in a sweet voice. After Luna Charlotte walked in and she said, "Hey Prof, whatcha doin?" Tremblay looked at Charlotte and then Charlotte rolled her eyes. "Why are you here Charlotte? I agreed that you would drop Luna off and go to your next class." said Tremblay. Charlotte went out of the class and across the hall. She saw the rest of the class go in. The rest of the class came in and they started the lesson. "Good morning class, everyone please take your seats. Today you will be needing your animals because you will be transforming them into dishes." said Professor Tremblay to the class.
