The War Faerie

chapter eleven

Max's POV

"Yes" I said, I was so confident that I wanted to help. And finally, I can be with Charlotte and Luna all the time! But then it hit me, why wasn't Charlotte here? So, I just ask Luna.

"Why isn't Charlotte here?". But as soon as I said those words, it seemed to trigger some tears, Luna tried to hold them back, but it was no use, she fell into my arms and started sobbing. "Liadan has taken over Charlotte again! And when I left for here, she collapsed: I'm such a bad person!" Luna confessed whilst she was wetting my jeans a little with her tears. "But Luna, you're not a bad person, you're not even human, you're something much better, YOU'RE A FAERIE!" and when I said those words she stood up and said: "Ok, now we're going to do something better than just sit here and talk, we're going to change you into a faerie!"

Narrator's POV

Liadan was preparing her big war, making sure that everything goes according to plan and finally get rid of the humans once and for all. She is only ruling the Faerie World, she wanted to rule the human world and that she could finally concur all the world. She's spent centuries on this plan and until now everything was in place, all she had to do is destroy the most powerful faerie from the inside, and then everything would crumble to the ground.

She started chanting some words in Latin, no more like chanting an old and ancient spell.

"Emitte animam tuam de corpore tuo, et anima tua in corpus meum veniet. anima tua moratur in isto nigro vacuo per totam hebdomadam. Dimitte, dimitte corpus meum pro anima tua."

And suddenly she was in this dark room, no, actually y it was a big void of darkness, but very far away she saw a weak light. She kept on moving forwards, until she finally arrived at this light. And where the light was, it was Liadan's shiny key to her plan. Charlotte.

Liadan nudged her awake.

"Why we meet again Charlotte." Liadan said with a raspy, dark voice. "Why are you always targeting me!?" Charlotte wanted to whine but she wanted to sound confident and like an adult, not like a three-year-old girl. "Oh child, isn't it obvious already, or are you that dumb?" Liadan said with a sigh. Charlotte's face remained steady, no emotions showing so if Liadan tried to ask her some questions Liadan wouldn't be able to read her expression. "Look, I'm getting really bored of this 'game' that you're playing and frankly it's lame, so why don't you just quit the act and tell me what's going on. "You're so naïve. I 'called' you in here as a trap!"

Charlotte just smirked, Liadan got confused by the look on Charlotte's face, she just told her that she's stuck in an endless black void, she had nothing to do and Liadan was just going to start the worst war this planet has seen in decades! That was bad new... right?
