Recap:

He takes off the cloth off of the person. My eyes go wide in surprise when I look at the prisoner's face.

Not even in my dreams I would have imagined him to be here.

The person in front of me was.......

~~~~
The moment the cloth is off a gasp is heard in the room. I realized that it's mine.
I take in the sight in front of me. There tied up to a chair was none other than Nero. His head was tilted down with his hair obstructing the view of his face. I recognized him instantly, I could always recognize even with the lights off. He did not make a move to free himself or even move at all, he was pretending to be unconscious. I knew because of his uneven breathing, and I know why he is doing it. I wished that I would never have to see him like this again.
I turned my head to the guard and glared at him. Looking back at Nero I said calmly without wavering my stare. "Cut him free." I made sure that my was would sound calm, deathly calm. I was angry to see him all tied up again. Hearing my was he opened his eyes in surprise. I looked back at the guard to find him staring at me as if I had grown two heads. My lips thinned in a line when he didn't cut Nero free.
"Do I need to repeat myself?" I aim the question to the guard raising an eyebrow in question. He quickly got moving and cutting the ties while I just looked at Nero with a clenched jaw. Cutting him free the guard scattered out of the cell without a word. Nero looked up like actually looked up and flicked his hair back, out of his face. He stood there observing hus surroundings and his gaze finally locked with mine.
"Noah?" Ri called out from behind me just recognizing him.
"You both know him?" The authorative voice of Cleo rang out in the cell.
"Yes." I said without a waver in my voice. I was livid as to how they got their hands on him. I turned to face Cleo expecting the list of questions she would ask.
"Start speaking." She said with an edge to her voice. I raised an eyebrow in question at her tone. Okay I know I was being rude but I was angry right now. I'll deal with the consequences later.
"How about you tell me how did he end up here?" I said quickly getting down to business. I know I was running my mouth but that's what happens when it comes to my cared ones.
Her face became blank at my question and her eyes narrowed in anger. We had a little stare off before she decided to speak. "He is an eye witness to a murder. He was where he shouldn't have been." She replied going back to her no emotion face and sparing Nero a glance. I felt relieved that his cover wasn't blown. "Also when we found him he had a pendrive, a very important one at that. We assumed he was a spy." Fuck I spoke a little too soon.
Looking into her eyes only to find those blue-gray ones staring back at me as if it could see through me. Warning bells went off in my head. Calm down Tamyra calm down, don't panic, panicking isn't going to work. Think of something quick, something!! I did not dare break the eye contact, if I did then she would know I was hiding something. I glanced at Raf and Ri behind her before looking at her again.
"He was working for me." I told her half truth. It was one of the rules we learned in our first lesson of training, 'There should always be some truth behind your lies to make it believable. Omission of a few things, holding back information, partially telling the truth everything is considered as a go-to if you are ever stuck in a place where you can't tell the truth but you can't lie either, cuz lying would end up with a bullet in your head. Saying half truth will make the lies more trustable and will save your ass if shit goes south.'
