I feel so blue again today~ Gfriend Time for the moon night
"Your what?" Nayeon asked. I nodded and she continued, "The one who's caused us trouble for about 6 years. We met in 2015 and ever since then he's always monitored our every move to fight us if needed." I sighed and rolled my eyes, sounded like my brother of course, I haven't talked to him in five years and I 'accidentally on purpose' forgot to mention him? I didn't tell anyone because I had my reasons. "Why didn't you tell us you had a brother in the mafia, we might have known him, and, we actually do. Do you have deep problems?," she asked. I pondered the question and then said, "No, I just don't like him." I shrugged and peered near the stairs to catch a glimpse of what he was doing and how much he'd changed over these years.
"Hey Ka," I heard Jackson say. I could tell he was raising an eyebrow even if I'd turned around and was facing Chaeyoung. I cursed under my breath and turned slowly to face him, the two other girls looked confused and I was really curious why. To me it didn't sound out of the ordinary but then I backtracked what he said and realized he called me Ka and I said to the girls, "That's my Chinese name, Ka-ying." I cringed when they started to say it was cute and it fit me well, I liked Emma better to be honest. Chaeyoung pushed me forward and suddenly, without me wanting to, I was walking down the stairs to meet my brother, internally screaming and crying that my legs were moving of their own accord.
I waved awkwardly when I reached the bottom step and waited for him to say something because my inner introvert was peeking through the cracks. He shook his head at me and said, "Ka, you look different," I blinked fast and he hurriedly said, "good different." I did a big nod and then whispered my thanks and looked for any sign of weapons on his person. I studied specifically near the belt where it is easiest to conceal or carry weapons and noticed a small dagger tip poking out from under his shirt and then spotted a Kahr Arms P380 gun which was obviously packed with bullets and said, "You're not gonna use that are you?" He took his attention to were I was looking and grinned as he shook his head, "These are for emergencies." I didn't believe him but I let the matter go.
I decided to question his motives for what Nayeon told me earlier and asked, "Why have you kept causing trouble and monitoring Twice for the past 6 years?" Jackson widened his eyes, surprised at my question and answered with, "We have something in common, the supplier of our weapons and bases and technology asked me to keep an eye on them." I was intrigued so I continued to ask question, I wanted to know more about this supplier and more about the 'our' it couldn't just mean him and Twice, could it? I asked, "What's his name. Oh, and who's your gang?" He coughed on his own breath and I winced before prying for the information and using my best/worst puppy eyes because, man, am I bad at them. If I couldn't plead my parents to not leave us, how am I going to get this? Fortunately though, he answered, "The supplier's name is Park Jinyoung or he goes by J.Y.P, the rest is disclosed. My gang however, I can tell you because I trust you but we go by Got7 and I'll introduce you sometime." I nodded happily and turned away from him, not knowing what else to talk about.
"Ka," I turned upon hearing my Chinese name. I nodded in his direction and he said, "Mom and dad want to see you." I gasped and not the 'pick me girl' gasp but the 'I'm dying and I need information' gasp. He nodded sincerely and then shouted to the girls who were all now crowded above the stairs and I could tell he knew they were there, listening to our conversation, "Girls, I'll see you next week. Don't forget. I have the supplies." A box I didn't even register was there was dumped on the table near the door and it sounded heavy. My brother walked out without a second glance back and as I glared at his back, he slammed the door shut. There was footfalls on the stairs and the girls surrounded me.
"Your parents want to see you, isn't that good?" Tzuyu asked. I looked dead at her and my expression seemed to convey what I was thinking but then after I felt bad for glaring like that I patted her arm. Jeongyeon ran down the stairs and I assumed if she was wearing shoes, they would be chained, black Doc Martins but this is an Asian household so... Anyway, she said, "Sorry to burst your bubble but Mamamoo need help, they are caught in a crossfire between Purple kiss and Treasure." The girls all seemed to speed off to help the I assume girls? I don't know who Mamamoo are or Purple kiss or Treasure but it sounds like more gangs so, fun. Jihyo stopped and looked at me and said, "Wang, you're coming, I'm giving you no choice. From now on, you're gonna be our resident bullshitter/ distractor because Tzuyu says you're good at that." I looked at Tzuyu but she smiled apologetically.
I'm also glad I turned around when I did because if not I would have been hit on the head with an AK-47 rifle by Chaeyoung. The latter girl shouted, "Sorry, thought you were looking," then ran off. At least she had the courtesy to say sorry. I picked up the gun I guess was meant for me and pulled on some simple sneakers and then rushed to follow the girls and get in the van. I slouched against the van wall, Jeongyeon driving and Sana in the passenger seat, the rest of us lounging in the back. "Can I be briefed on these three mafia groups please?" I asked and Momo turned to me and explained, "Mamamoo is made up of 4 girls, Solar, Hwasa, Wheein and Moonbyul, they are our allies. Treasure is made up of 12 boys all very good at sharp shooting and one of them is called Junkyu and that's all we know. Purple kiss is made up of 7 girls members and we only know 2 names, Swan and Park Jieun." I questioned, "Why don't you know more?" Momo said, "I don't know. Our enemy records are kept close to their chest. Jeongyeon is getting frustrated at not being able to hack them. Mamamoo is an ally, the other two, enemies. Not the groups that are the problem but occasionally the supplier. We've been taught to hate them."
Suddenly, we stopped and I heard shots being fired, guns being cocked and shouting from all directions. Nayeon turned to us grimly and said, "We've arrived."
